My inlaws are supposed to come over today buy my FIl has a really bad cold so i asked my Dh to ask them not to come because i really do not want to get my 10 day old sick... So now my Dh is all bent out of shape because he feels like we are never going to go out... We were just at the Dr today an she told us to tell people who have a cold that we prefer that they stay home.. he is being just an A$$ I am ready to strangle him...
Am i wrong????

No you're not wrong! That's life with a new born! You must be very careful with them and try to not expose them to any illnesses for atleast the first month. Tell your DH just to bear with it...you'll be able to get out soon enough!

Aww he's excited! But you're not wrong. Keep reminding him that the DR said it - it's not you!

You're not wrong - I had to do the same thing with my son when my ex's Mother had a cold - he's just a little bored - he'll get past it and you'll both have plenty of time to do things and show off the new babe when everyone is healthy.

I dont think youre wrong. Its one of many unpopular decisions you will make as a Mom. Sounds like your DH is not yet adjusted to Daddyhood (it takes awhile) so I wouldnt be too hard on him. But hopefully he will respect your decisions when it comes to your child. No way should your brand newborn be exposed to unnecessary germs from a sick person even if it is Grandpa. Hopefully he (FIL) isnt too offended, Im glad he let you know hes sick though, can you imagine if he came over and then you found out? LOL I feel sorry for him with all those post partum hormones running through your body.

You are NOT wrong, When my neice was 2 months old, my aunt didnt come to thanksgiving b/c she was sick! You cant risk it at that age!
Your DH is probably just nervous about how much his life is going to change and hes probably just worried that the baby will be the ONLY thing that matters! Men sometimes have a hard time with that (we all know what babies they can be )
And on top of that I am sure a part of him is just really excited and wants to show off his new baby!!
