I am SO PISSED!!!

FH and I had an appointment to see a coop in Glen Oaks today and the darn realtor cancelled AGAIN!! THis is the THIRD time she cancelled. THe first time she cancelled it was the day before Thanksgiving - and she gave some excuse that she couldnt find the owner to get the keys. The second time was the friday of that big blizzard - so i kinda understand that although i DID venture out and go to school.

This time, she just called FH's office and left a message saying she coudlnt make it. What a !#@%!#$!!! THe thing is she called FH on Monday and asked him if we were still interested to see it -FH said yes and we hadnt gotten back to her bec we had been busy with work/school. So FH suggested THursday, she said, oh no that isnt good. Wednesday, oh no that isnt good either. Tuesday, she said was good for her. WHY CANCEL??

FH called her office when he got back from court and she supposedly wasnt there but she never called back!

Just so pissed- we are trying to find a coop and we cant even get a d@mn realtor to show us it.

FH's father thinks that it might be for sold or under contract - but FH has a brokers password and the Century 21 listings says that it is still for sale.

What is up wiht this woman?? She does work on commission right??

Georgia-I'm sorry you have to go through this. You have every right to be upset. Maybe you guys need a new realtor?? Hang in there. I know house hunting tough....FH and I have been going through the same thing for the past year and a half. Best of luck sweetie!!!

Is it a multiple listing? If so you could go to another realtor and tell them you want to see this co-op. I would get great pleasure telling her that I saw it through another realtor

Thanks Angela, the only reason why we went through this realtor is because FH's dad knowns the them - but that is just unacceptable. My FFIL is so funny - he got as pissed as I did (we are so alike sometimes - while FH is the calm rational one! *lol*) - he knows the owner of the real estate and we were dealing with an employee - so he told us to call the woman and ask to talk to her boss!

Christine- i told FH that we should do that! We really should - she really doesnt sound like she wants to make money off this sale. And we are definitely interested buyers - we arent browsing at all!

Is this a company that maybe you could get another agents to take you??? For example, 'Century 21 AAA' .. would have lots of agents working in the same office .. maybe some agents are much more eager than others.

We had that experience when we were house hunting. One realtor we called, for a specific agent .. that agent never returned our calls .. and I mentioned this to their receptionist .. we were then hooked up with a different agent with the same realtor .. and she was definitely on the ball with finding us exactly what we wanted!!

I'm pretty sure my Fh's boss is on the Coop Board at Glen Oaks. Let me double check and if he is I'll ask if he knows of any availability.

It usually isn't this bad. This is the first (and I hope the last time) that I'm here this late. We have a Memo due, which isn't that bad..But we also had to do a bunch of different documents to go along with it This could turn into a HUGE case, so we don't want any screw ups. Plus our client is an attorney...enough said

I totally agree with you, that's why I have not complained to them at all about staying. They asked me to stay and I said of course

That is what I did all this summer - each time I had to stay late- i didnt complain one bit - It was a given, if an memo, brief or reply was due we were there till it got done - the associate that they just hired would rush out the door at 5:30 and they would have to call him back a few times

Wow, some people just have no clue!

See that's EXACTLY why you were offered a position. B/c they see that you're a hard worker

Why don't you call up the building mgmt and ask to see the place? Do you want me to access MLS and look into it for you?

I say call anohter agent! FH and I work with 2, the first one is rather flaky so I called one at a smaller firm and he has been wonderful but honestly I wont hesitate to go with another one if they give us the run around!

Why dont you call the BROKER of the century 21 you are dealing with, explain to him/her that this agent is kind of screwin you around and you want some info. Believe me, you would be surprised how many owners of agenceys dont know what crap there agents are pulling.

The agent that is selling me my house, actually called me and told me that the house the other agent was going to take me to was crap and that i shouldnt even waste my time and that there was so much wrong with it.. Thats not something he should have done. But the house im buying is an exclusive so I had no choice but to stay with them, and its also a Century 21 agency.

FH is going to try to get in touch with the owner of teh brokerage and we will see how that goes. You are so sweet though - thank you so much for the offer- if it doesnt work out I am going to take you up on that offer!
