That my wedding is over. We leave for our honeymoon in a few days, and everyone says is gets better. But still, I can't help but think, 'last week this time I was finishing my bridal party thank you cards' or, 'less than a week ago, we were getting ready for our rehearsal dinner'. It's all over with now and I am so sad. We had such a great time and I want to relive it already. Anyone else go through this yet?
So that you know what you are dealing with; on Sunday I tried on my dress again and Monday I went around the house in my veil. So sad.

I completely know the feeling. I am still sad that my wedding is over. I can't bring myself to try my dress on again.

Oh no!! My biggest fear is post-wedding depression. I know I'm in for it! Hang in there, maybe come up with a new focus? Redecorating? Scrap-booking?

I had major post wedding depression. We got married on a Saturday night and stayed in the hotel. The next day there is my dress resting on the chair so I try it on and start balling. 'I'll never be a bride again'. I was depressed for a week after (being we don't leave for our honeymoon until 5/18 and weddign 3/4 HIGHLY CAUTION AGAINST). Anyhow, we both went back to work in three days after the wedding and it was just to fast. Hubby was working 13 hour days and I was catching up myself. FInally I got some pictures back and it made things better and now I'm so happy. I quickly sent my gown to get presevered so I don't get tempted again. Hope this helps

It's tough. Though, I think I am going to try my dress on again Friday (right before we leave for the honeymoon and I send it out to be prserved. Or maybe I will just keep it around a little longer.

Well i have been married 6 months now and the reason I check in is bcause I miss it.. I will let you know that ocassionally I wear my veil and tiara to clean... I also have a 3rd year old princess party coming up ( princess costume optional) and I am soooooo wearing my tiara... There are some ideas for you..

im really sorry....i was afraid i would get that too- but fortunately i did not
i was so stressed and had a sick feeling in my stomach in the weeks leading up to the wedding...almost as if i knew i would have issues with things
as much as i loved being a bride i found it to be tiring and stressful. i was soo relieved when it was over
mike told me that he finally has his baby back-which is so true because i feel a great weight has been lifted off me.
I thought the hard part would be leaving my honeymoon....because it was PURE BLISS..... but it helped that mike and i spent part of the honeymoon speaking of things we are going to do with the house with the wedding money and trips we will be taking in the coming months..so when i got back i had things to look forward to.

Aww Sorry you are having PWD (post wedding depression) I had an amazing time and I am so happy you enjoyed your day. Can't wait to see your pics. Have a great time on the honeymoon!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I am going through this a little bit right now. I think part of it is I'm really unhappy with my job and at least before I had our wedding to look forward to. Not that I don't have anything to look forward to, but the wedding & HM really kept me going I am realizing now! I love that some of you wear your veil & tiara still! We live with our ILs so they would really think I am crazy! I;ve been tempted to try my dress on but haven't yet

My sister got married in October, and she said that she felt this way too. Don't worry, though! There's a lot to look forward to, and it's totally natural to be in a little bit of a 'post-wedding-funk.'

it definitely felt like a weight was lifted off of me.... and being married has been awesome!! we have been so happy...

Oh I KNOW i am going to go thru the same thing!!!! Im already doing it. I was sad on my one yr engaged. Sad when my shower was over. So weird. we want the day to come SO bad and then when it does, we are sad again WOMEN!!!

I'm sorry your going through this. I'm afraid this will happen to me too since I've been planning this wedding since I was like 5.
When you get sad, remember what a wonderful day it was, look at your beautiful pics, and treasure that you found your soulmate! Some people are not fortunate enough to go through it once...so we have a lot to be grateful for!!!

Yep, I fully understand what you're going through. Once you have the honeymoon it should subside. Now I'm actually having regular thoughts again in my spare time. I forgot what that's like.

Oh sweetie, it's normal to feel the way you are. There will always be new beginnings though and exciting events to look forward to. ( babies, a house, teens, grandkids...etc).
