Ok I know this is not the end of the world but I put alot of work and time into my invites.. I made sure every single part, even the outside envelope was perfect...
So i take them to the post office on Friday and the woman working there was a complete B*ITCH. I was very nice (and super excited) and ask her to hand cancel them. She said 'yup' with an attitude and then asked us to leave. I told her I wanted to wait but she said she could'nt get to it right then... with a huge attitude again. So I said thank you and left.
fast forward to today I am at my parents and i see there invites.. COMPLETELY RUINED. Black ink everywhere ( i mean you can barely read the names on the envelopes) and it was NOT HAND CANCELLED.
My sister and brothers came out this way too.
Just called FMIL and she said hers was a disaster and the crystal on it was broken.
I am so so upset that they are ruined. I am embarrased they look this way, and SO mad that stupid lady lied to me. I really might go in there tomorrow and scream at someone.

I am sorry this happened. I also cannot believe how rude she was! I would try to speak to her supervisor. She is probably a miserable person that has no life. There is no need for her to be that rude. In this economy she should be nice and greatful she even has a job!

Seriously- why is everyone who works at the post office rude?
I think the times I deal with a nice post office worker are so few and far between...they are getting away with murder.
If I was to gasp and shrug and act the way they do everytime a client asked me to do my job- I would be nowehere....maybe wouldn't even have a job!
My mom and I always talk about the 'tudes at the post office.

FH and I were just laughing about this for 20 min. We are seriously too nice to people sometimes so it figures this would happen to us.
I am def. going to talk to her supervisor because its completely wrong..
but now I get to focus on one thing...
MAILBOX STALKING.. and getting those little white envelopes back. I had 2 hand delivered to me today at work... so excited.

I would DEFINATELY put in an official complaint. To her supervisor and then to the post office itself.... like the corporate offices. I mean these people have to take tests and be compentent to get that job... so why shouldn't they have people skills as well? I would TOTALLY go all the way with this one... if only just for the last laugh! Esp after what she said to your FH when he went in there! SOOO WRONG!!!!

i looked online and found out the 'officer in charge' (guess this is the postmaster) is Robert DeGaro Officer-In-Charge as of 05/19/2009.

I am going to go tomorrow. I have 2 samples of my ruined invites and a sample of an invite I just recieved that was hand cancelled.
Nothing during the wedding planning has made me really break down and cry until now. I am not exaggerating on how bad they look. You can't evem tell on my parents invite that it says 'Mr & Mrs.' Its just a black smudge across the invite. My mom was actually trying to hide the invites from me because they looked so bad she knew I was going to be upset.
This happened to me too...the Post Office is TERRIBLE!!!! Also, I don't know where you got your invites from, but I let my printer know that this happened, b/c somebody told me that they should have used ink that is less likely to smudge. It didn't get me anything, but I wanted them to know so that they could at least warn the next girl...they never even told me I needed mine hand canceled.

Just a thought but maybe shes a miserable biznatch because her hubby left her? Sounds like he had every reason to! Some people are just jelly, get the postmaster on her and she'll see this is NO JOKE!!!!!!!!!

I had someone throw it out without even showing her husband... Nice huh? And I spent hours...but
