I am so sorry to be so rude....

I am so sorry to be so rude....

it was not me it was my food!

Help! All this good eating is affecting my stomach. Anyone else have this problem? Since I've added more veggies and less junk to my diet I've noticed a difference, does your body get used to good eating?

Also, I had a similiar problem with Crystal Light. I was loving drinking my water with a little pink lemonade sprinkled in and I had to stop. Everyone thought I was nuts to think the CL had anything to do with it but then a friend of mine said she heard about some people having that reaction because of the artificial sweetner thats in it. Anyone else?

Re: I am so sorry to be so rude....

I have been on WW for almost a year and have lost 52.5 pounds, and let me tell you, I had what my neighbor who is very into nutrition tell me my body was detoxifying. I was horrified, but kept up the good eating habits and now when I eat something bad for me, I get sick . I can no longer eat a big steak, my body has troube digesting it, I have to eat ground beef, and sometimes I have trouble with that also. If I try to eat a sundae at Friendly's and manage to gooble the whole thing up, I get sick also. I know I am okay helath wise I have discussed this with my doctor. I also noticed that I buy a lot of fresh vegetables, fruits and fish and chiken, very rarely do you find junk in my cart at the super market. A lot of my friends called me 'boring' when they would come over for dinner becuase I did not put out garbage food, but now it is rubbing off on them, and they want to start a diet becuase they see how successful I am with it. Also, I have noticed I have a lot more energy eating healthy. Good luck!

I've definitely been having some 'issues' since I started on WW. I think my body is just in shock at all the healthiness going in! Once I started logging, I realized that I don't eat nearly enough fruits and veggies - once you put that stuff into your diet, changes happen. Plus, your body is definitely detoxing all the unhealthy stuff.

As you guys may or may not have seen on the WW thread, I was feeling pretty crappy a couple of days ago...queasy, nauseous, etc. COuldn't look another leafy green veggie in the face for two days. My chin also started to break out a little, which is weird because I don't have skin issues. The queasiness lasted a day and a half, and then I was CRAVING the leafy greens again. And the chin has cleared up and my face looks more glowing. It sounds like I may have been going through detox!

Detox happens... but of course leafy veggies and fiber will make you have gas. I have gas pretty much nightly.. my poor FH!!!! When I stopped eating sugar and carbs I had withdrawal symptoms- headaches, stomach ache, etc...

It is normal- your body is adjusting to the new types of foods! My God, what we have to go through though- I was so worried when this started happening, I went to the Dr.- she said it was normal and wouldn't last forever- Thank God!

Wow, that is weird, I had breakouts as well last week, they are finally clearing up. I have also noticed that since changing my eating habits last year, I cannot really eat red meat anymore, or ice cream/whole milk. It makes me nauseous now. Also, since I dont really eat sweets anymore, carrots actually taste sweet to me now! I used to hate carrots and broccoli, now I eat them almost every day.

Last SUnday I went to Serendipity for brunch with one of my BM and finally ordered an egg white omelet with asparagus and Jarlsberg cheese....could only eat half and was totally full! I used to be able to eat the whole omelet, the home fries and the otast! and two cups of coffee! I guess it's true that your stomach does shrink, which is excellent news...

Re: I am so sorry to be so rude....

Thank u all for your congratulations! I promise u all it will get better, if I can do it anyone can. I am finding it hard since I had root canal on Saturday to stop my night time munchies.... I have to take my antibiotics with food that will absorb the medicine, and today I went out and bought a black and white cookie. I plan on hopefully just eating a little bite of it and saving the rest for the next few days . but I hope I have the will power.... I also had enrolled in the local adult ed class for exercise, it was a lot less money then joining a gym, and I walk a lot. I am having problems toning my tummy, I know I can wear **** it in under garments the day of the wedding, but I would like to know that I look good without it. Yes, your stomach does shrink, I cannot eat that much anymore. That omelet sounded so good!
