I am so stressed out........

I am so stressed out........

As many of you know I am planning this wedding without either parent, they both have passed away. I am so stressed out , my blood pressure is up, and I am headachy and want to just crawl under a rock. Last week I got my shoes and there was no mom or dad to show them to unless I go to the cemetary. My Fh is great about doing things, as well as my older sister, but she every once in a while gets weird at times, she is my sister not my Mom or dad, she is good and then she says to me , well, think of how I felt when I got married, Mom was not there etc. It feels like everyhting is falling on me, and like I said my Fh is great, but then again it always falls on the bride. Any suggestions, before I just drown myself in tears???????

Do you have an aunt or another older female relative who can share in the exciting wedding things and stand in for your parents, so to speak?

Can you lean on any of your BMs for advice, shopping trips etc? Maybe your sister is a little too close to the situation but I know my BMs have been WONDERFUL and so interested in dress fittings, veil shopping etc. They can tell you how things look and be excited with you.

And Liz is right, they are with you in spirit so don't forget that!

to you, sweetie. Planning a wedding is very stressful for anyone, but without your parents, I can only imagine how hard it is for you. I understand how sad you must be & how much you must miss them. Please know that we are here to support you when you need it!

I don't know what you are going through but I just wanted to offer my support, you can talk to any of us whenever you need to and come over to my house anytime I will give you my opinion on your shoes, it isn't much but it's something. Lots of

Princess- I really feel for you. I also am planning a wedding alone. Thankfully, I have some great friends I can count on. I also have developed TMJ from this whole experience. It has been really stressful, but the time will fly and we will be laughing at this next year at this time. We all have our good and bad days. We're here for you!

This comes NOwhere near, but neither my mother nor father, family members, or my bridesmaids are in the area. Although I can call and talk with them, they aren't able to join me in planning. So, I drag my FH, his sister and a few of the friends I have here to go places, although sometimes I go alone. He even went when I tried on dresses!!

Could you lean on your Fiance's family or your closest friends. What about your bridesmaids? Are they in the area?

Are you coming to the get together? You should come and be surrounded by other brides...

Thank u so much for all the hugs and thoughts. I spent the day getting my nails done and hair cut, and blown out, then went shopping and got myself a silver bracelet. Fh called me from work to see how I was doing, he is concerned. I have good friends, but there is one BM who is driving me crazy and being very difficult , and I am at the breaking point where I might go tell her where to go . (Long story, but in a nut shell, she is impossible to get in touch with, she does not want detailed messages on her machine because she is not talking to her sister, etc.) My FMil has been great, it is just not the same as your own mom. I might go to the get together, I am just shy when I do not know anyone, but a lot of people tell me I talk to everyone becuase I am so outgoing. I am thinking of going, how may of you are going? Can I sit with you girls?? I have a great bridal party, but I do not want to bore them with the wedding stuff, even thought they tell me I should talk more about the wedding, but I do not want them to say Iam obsessed with the wedding.I always feel so horrible going and not knowing a person. Thanks so much for listening, hey maybe I will bring my shoes to the get together. ...... I did have a better afternoon then I have had in a long time.

Why don't you bring one of your friends shopping with you next time? You can have a nice afternoon together and chit-chat and go for lunch afterwards.
Its always nice to get someone else's opinion when you are shopping.

I am going to the get together, for a second Fh was interested in going , he thinks it will be good for me to be with other brides, but I am going to go without him, he is going to watch sports on his baseball package on IO digital cable.

first hugs!! next relax, relate and release! what you did today is great therapy! continue whenever you feel down. come on here and chat with us cause we are excited to hear all your plans! come to the gtg and meet your friends face to face. it must be hard. my dad has alztimers and so all of my plans of having my daddy walk me down the aisle is gone. my uncle will be escorting me. my mom is so torn up and visits my dad everyday so it is hard for her to plan with me. not the same situation but i understand your dreams. keep your head up and be happy. know that your parents are smiling down on you!!
