I am sooooo devastated...........

I am sooooo devastated...........

FH bought me diamond stud earrings for christmas last year and I had lost the back (for the 2nd time) during the running of the brides. They are screwbacks and I had to replace a back before and since they are platinum it cost me $50 for the back alone. I was going to call Mondera and explain the situation to see if they could either fix the post or do something else. Well I gave the earring to FSIL to hold and that night I had left them in the tissue she had put them in on the table not realizing that she would just hold them or put them away. Well I finally call Mondera and explain the situation and they said to come in and they would try and fix the problem.

I wait for FSIL to come home and I asked her where my earrings are (I hadnt had the earrings since january) she said she didnt have them. I am soooooo mad at myself for letting it go on that long and assuming that she had them. She probably threw them out . I go back to bed and I start balling . Just writing this is making me cry. I hate losing jewelry and especially a present from FH and he is very non-chalant about it but I am completely devastated by this and I need to buy the exact same earrings (which are by far cheap) to try and at least not think about not having them.

Sorry for the long vent, I am sooooooooo sad........... I just want my earrings back!!!!!!!!!!!

is she absolutly sure she didnt put them somewhere and then forget about them????

OMG Cindy i am so sorry about this. I can only imagine how u feel. i would be so upset also. Don't blame urself. these things happen. im sure with all the excitement of the wedding it just slipped ur mind. is she absolutely sure she doesnt have them??

Yep she is sure. THey were in a tissue and it could have looked like a used tissue.

I am just so mad at myself that I assumed she had them and I didnt followup and make sure.

OH THAT STINKS IM SO SORRY. I KNOW HOW YOU FEL MY PARENTS BOUGHT ME CARATS AS ONE OF MY GRAD GIFTS WHEN I LOST ONE (IT JUST FELL OUT OF MY EAR - I THINK MY LONG HAIR GOT ATTACHED & PULLED IT OUT & I DIDNT EVEN FEEL IT ) I WAS DEVSTATED I WAS SO UPSET.:

I just bought the exact pair of earrings from the same company so I will just forget this ever happened until I get my credit card bill. Then I will cry some more.

I am so sorry. I know how you feel. It's like your heart breaks. I lost one of my first rings FH ever bought me. I had lost it for like 6 months and I swear, it was the crappiest feeling. Then, they turned up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You never know- they could pop up very soon somewhere unexpected.

I hate losing, breaking, damaging jewelry

I just banged my e-ring and knocked the whole thing off center...it's being fixed now....but I feel terrible about it. We can miserable together

I am always afraid to lose jewelry so I hardly ever wear any. I even keep my e-ring in the box because I work with my hands all day, lifting boxes and stuff and I'm afraid to damage it.
