Back in the old days it was done at the reception - but most people moved it the rehersal - it gets more attention and makes a little more sense.

I say RD.....unless your wedding follows the theme, or some type of theme with his cake, I think it wouldn't 'fit in'...I dunno, that's just me.

thats what I am thinking also...The few cakes I have in mind for him would NOT go with the wedding... is that bridezilla of me?

No that isn't bridezilla of you. Do it for the RD where it will get noticed more.

I dont know!!! I was trying to think about that and I am not sure.. however I mean the cake is about him and not US so I think it is more of a non wedding item.

Well traditionally its the reception, but recently people have been doing the RD so either one. Im doing it at the reception bc alot of things at the wedding is what the bride wants such as colors, flowers, and all decor so this way at the wedding we'll have something that represents him, although i am incorporating other things that are him too. Plus for me i want my guests to see the cake, at the RD it will just be BP and OOT guests, this way more people get to see it. Plus i will do the traditional thing and give a slice to single ladies to take home.

thanks ladies for the info...
The cake I want is a replica of an old car FH had that was his baby...lol. If I had it at the reception, only a select few would know that anyway so...I think I will go for the RD idea...lol
