Today my 8 yr old daughter is donating her hair to Locks of Love for a child who doesnt have hair This was her idea .....she has long beautiful hair and at 1pm today she will be having it cut for a great reason

DW donated her when she cut (chopped) off her hair to a shorter length
its for a good cause

that is so awesome! But, really, it's not so suprising. I think that you and your DH (especially given recent events like with your nephew, etc) are such caring people, and such wonderful role models to your children! People can say what they want about how society is so influential on children (which i do agree it is) BUT when parents teach their kids such strong morals and values, i think that's more powerful than what they can pick up on the 'outside'.
you should be just as proud of yourself... she really is a reflection of you!
