I am Very Upset...In and Out Travel

About a week ago i posted a thread asking about David from In and out Travel because i started working with him and he wasnt getting back to me........I wasnt sure if this was the norm....anyway a lot of girls wrote back saying they had good experiences and some wrote that they had bad......well i have kept working with him trying to figure out our honeymoon and today he emailed me saying that someone from LIWedings mentioned to him my thread and my name .....and said how i was upset.......Now the reason i posted on this sight was because i figured what is said here shouldnt get back to anyone.........I am very upset i feel like i cant express feelings or questions about how i feel about vendors......and i thought this was what this sight was for...whoever did this i hope doesnt repeat it in the future.....

I never thought vendors would ......i am very sorry for accusing someone of speaking about me to him.......like i said i never thought vendors would look on the sight and i guess its weird he lied and said someone said something to him.........sorry

It is possible he told you the truth and that another bride mentioned that someone was upset he wasn't getting back to her. However, it is equally possible that he lied and read the thread himself. This board is available to ANYONE - vendors, other brides, or any member of the general public.

If a bride did say something, perhaps she was trying to help out - both you and the vendor, one by making sure he got back to YOU, and two by letting him know that by not getting back to brides ASAP his business could be hurt. Just a thought.

yes vendors are always on this site! In fact I work in the corporate side of a travel agency but I know some leisure agents check this site! Sorry girl...that is horrible either way!!

honestly.. that was unprofessional on his part to even say that to you. You have the right to inquire. I agree that it probably was himself lurking on this site. I think we all should FM eachother if we have questions on a particular vendor so that it won't be visable on the boards.. also checking the BBB would not hurt..

I would not even use this person now.. that would piss me off. Hopefully you are looking into someone else.. FM me.. if you need to talk.

Regardless of whether he saw it himself or if another bride mentioned it, it was totally unprofessional for him to mention it to you. I would definitely steer clear of him.

It's also my gut feeling that he probably saw it himself, and just said that another bride mentioned it because he didn't want to admit to lurking. We obviously don't know one another's real names, and I doubt another bride would remember that many details of your issue that the guy would be able to identify you from another bride's comments.

It sounds like this guy's pretty sneaky...

Dave said he would get back to me in a day or two and I had to call him 3 or 4 times after a week went by. When I got him he daid he would send them right away and I had to keep calling still. I finally gave up and figured that I would rather spend more some where else then give him my money.

FH and I are going through the same thing now. I have put 4 calls into him in the last 7 days and nothing........so I guess its time we look for someone else to.

I had the SAME EXACT problem with him. DH and I went to talk to him about booking our honeymoon 13 months before our wedding. We were so happy with everything we talked about with him. We were going on a Mediteranean Cruise. He told us we would be getting discounts for early booking. Plus he was also going to price out some land tours for us, in case we changed our minds. He would never get back to me. Everytime I called, he was always 'sending' something to me. Let's just say a few months went by and thanks to the great girls on here I found a new travel agent that was amazing. Unfortunately we lost out on having a room with a balcony because of waiting so long, but the TA I used was great. The cruise was almost booked up. I explained what had happened and he went out of his way to accomodate us. FM me if you would like any info regarding him.

Whether he checked himself, or it was mentioned to him by another bride, this board is a PUBLIC forum, and honestly, nothing is sacred.

In regards to your situation, I think it's honestly more important to focus on the issue itself, than on this. It's important to decide whether or not this is a vendor you want to work with or not, and getting a great deal on the HM you want. I wouldn't spend more energy on this that you have already - keep your chin up and good luck.

Yes, I got a VERY nasty and threatening FM from a vendor who I hired on my wedding day and had problems with.
