Father-Daughter dance with me. He said 'yes'-even though he feels it's going to be very hard for both of us. It's a happy yet sad at the same time kind of thing. I hope I don't lose my mind during it and start bawling!!!!!!

Should I just skip it instead?

If I were to do the dance with my brother- do I pick a song that I would have danced with my dad to? Or do I pick another type of song? What are you other ladies in this situation doing? Any song ideas?

Awwhh I think that is soo beautiful and touching! It make me tear up thinking about it! I think you should def do it! I love the idea it very moving!

My friend danced with her brother to Luther Vandross. Its a tear jerker, but it was soo beautiful! She even had a photo montage of the two of them. Every one was crying but it was so beautiful. Here are the lyrics.

I went back and forth with this. I was considering skipping it too. FH's mom even offered to skip the mother-son dance for me but I really want her to have that (even though that was so very nice of her to offer). And I am very close with my brother... * and* he is the closest thing to my dad that I have left. So, I am going to dance with him but I just hope I can keep it together.

Kim... I love that song. But I don't know if that's too much to handle or not. Do you think you're going to be able to keep it together during that?

I feel the same way Kim. It's going to be a hard day no matter what. I only hope I can get through it while still being able to enjoy it. I have written down all of your wonderful ideas -they have been such a great help. I have a very similiar situation as you do... My mom was remarried way before my dad's accident. I have a great stepfather- who i love very much but I think that my mom is the best one to walk me down the aisle and I think my brother is the best one to dance with me- he is the closest person to me in every way and he is the closest thing I have left to my dad. So, now it's just finding that song that fits perfectly and doesnt make me lose my mind! lol I am going to download all of those songs tonight- thank you!!!!
