So who's gotten that response when you've told people that you're getting married???
One of my co-workers asked me how I was doing and I told her that FH and me are finally going to make things official and get married. She emailed me back and said these three things:
'I better be invited!' 'Why are you getting married in 2009? Why don't you just elope next year?' 'No, wait, 2009 will be better for me so I can find a date.'
Honestly, she is on the initial guest list, but we are trying to keep things small. FH even said to me the other day, 'You need to cut people from your side of the list.'
Now, how do I respond?

Re: 'I better be invited'
you don't respond, if you are not very close to her when the date get closer and she ask again you tell her that you are having a small wedding just with family and close friends

Re: 'I better be invited'
I would just tell her that you are not sure about her being invited because of the cost....I think it is rude of her to even say that and put in a position like this!!! Where do some people get off....I would NEVER say that!

Re: 'I better be invited'
My response has always been when I get the 'Im invited right' , is usually we dont have a guest list yet and are trying to keep it small....it usually makes them stop talking

Re: 'I better be invited'
I have to say, when obnoxious people ask me questions, I tend to give them obnoxius answers. I probably would have said something stupid like, 'depends on how much you'd give in the envelope!'

Tell her it depends on what she buys you for an engagement gift.

I have to say I don't really have anyone like this......except my older students the 13+ group...and I just kind of ignore it.

Re: 'I better be invited'
That's ridiculous - the part about the date was the kicker.
