I bid on ebay for my wedding band and now regret it!!!

I bid on a diamond wedding band in a crazed moment on ebay and I am still winning. I decided that I didn't even try it on, I don't know if it will look good with my ring, how good could a platinum 1 carat diamond ring be if you win it for only 600! AHHHHHGGGGG! I am so angry with myself. The auction still has 2 days to go so I am praying to be outbid. It is only 40 away from my max bid so I keep hoping. If not, I guess I have myself a wedding band!

Yikes!!!! Is there any way you can get in touch with the seller so he can retract your bid?

Well if you win it you CAN just not pay it if you really dont want it. Then you just have to create a new ebay account and start from scratch.

Thanks! That made me feel better. I would never win an auction and not pay. Bad karma!!! But it is a really pretty ring and I would just accept that it would be my wedding band. I have to get over it and move on. And there is still 2 days left in the auction so I am hoping!

YOU CAN retract you bid!! -- Just click on retract if you really do not want it. It is reported but if it is the only time you have done it no biggie.

Thanks girls for all the helpful advice. Rather than sweat it out for three more days, I called the seller and asked if I could cancel my bid. He said no problem and no negative feedback. Great seller!!! I also found out he has a store nearby so I may just go check them out!

Is he selling that ring in his store? If he is you should go look at it and his others see what he is selling it for and then see if its on an ebay auction. We have done that with my computer stuff and saved money.

That's my plan. I actually thought the ring was a good deal, if it came as promised. HE had 100%perfect feedback on over 500 transactions so I am sure it would have been great. BUT it really doesn't match my e-ring. I wish I had an extra 600 to buy another one to wear alone but who has that kind of money.
BTW- if anyone else is interested, its still up for auction- 1.25 carat platinum diamond eternity band-325 starting bid but will take you up to 610 which was the last maximum bid. It's item # 4931320750. It was a beautiful ring.
