I booked a venue yesterday but my wedding date will be on 5/2/08. Then, which vendors should I do first? I emailed several photographer but they did not get me a quote cuz they won't start it until next yr. What do you do next after you book the venue????

I don't know who you requested quotes from but I was able to get pricing from phototgraphers and a lot of other vendors last year (2 years before my wedding date)

That's ridiculous that they wouldn't give you quotes. There is no reason why they can't book '08. That's my 2 cents. Anyway, I would also book music early...that way you are sure to get the music people that you want.

I booked my church and hall first. Then got photo/video quotes and booked that. Then looked for and got my dress. then BM dresses. Next week FH and I are going to florists, and next month we are doing limos.

I don't see why they couldn't give you quotes for 08. Make appointments and go in . . .they'll give you quotes. They don't want to , probably, because then you are 'locked in' and they will lose out on $$ if they raise their prices! !

Good luck with everything! ! ! !

First figure out if you want a band or DJ, then book that. They are the next that go. I would still call around for pricing on photographers. It will save you time in the end.

yeah...same here. i was booking things and getting quotes in 2005 for my 2007 wedding. that seems so odd that they wouldn't give you a single quote!

I sent emails to Angelica Glass but she told me that she won't start booking for 2008 until 14 months in advance

The reason you ask for a quote this year i too get this year's prices. Every vendor has their own way of how they do business as far as pricing. Try some other photographers. During this past summer I went out to different vendors to get prices quotes. I had some that said, 'too far in advance' so I just went to the next one.

i suppose when you're just 1 person (with a staff) rather than part of a company....you can do this! besides...she's sooooo popular she can probably afford to be picky about when she starts booking ppl!

her work is breathtaking
