I booked my hall!

I booked Leonards of Great Neck for July 25, 2005. We were originally planning on a Feb, 2005 wedding, but we got a great deal from them and decided to book it. I am happy, relieved and nervous. All to be expected I assume. 351 days left and soooo much to do. So far I only have the Church and hall booked. Help me girls...whats next?

Congrats- Leonards is so beautiful!!! Curly is going to have an amazing wedding there.

Next start looking for Photo/Video, and Music.

Congrats! You might want to book a photographer/videographer and get those e-shots taken!

Thanks girls...I have to start soon. I have a ?, how much of a deposit do other vendors usually request (ie: photographer, videographer, dj, etc...) We put down a $2,000 deposit on the hall and are still saving for the other stuff. I want to make sure I have enough for deposits. I hope they dont ask for too much.

We gave a $1,000 deposit to the photographer even though they did not require that much. We had to give a $400.00 deposit to our florist. Didn't book DJ or limos yet.

The funny thing is I just happened to ask what was available for next summer and what the price was. A colleague of mine is getting married there 2 weeks before me and she shared with me what she was quoted...It so happened that they only had one date left for the room we needed and it worked out with the Church as well. FATE!!!

BOOK PHOTO AND VIDEO - I GAVE $2000.00 DEPOSIT - BUT THEY ONYL REQUIRED $400...

now that you have the date set - you can order everything else!
and the vendors might work with you on deposits...they're generally pretty understanding - and if they're not, well then you don't want to book with them anyway!

Thanks ladies. This board has been very helpful to me in educating me about the 'wedding process'. I havent posted as much, but have learned a great deal from you girls and will probably be asking a million questions as time goes by. Thanks to everyone again.
