oh my godness...talk about moving and memorable pictures...i cant even explain the way i felt while i was looking at the albums and video, all i can say iis that it brought tears to my eyes! when shamma posted her pics i knew that i had to make an appt. to see them b/c they were great shots! but, to see there work in person is a whole other story! i actually felt like i was at these peoples wedding. i am so excited that i finally found what i was looking for...i kept saying to people i dont want 'typicical' wedding pictures i want something that will tell a story and when i look at them 10 years from now i will feel just the way i felt on that day! so needless to say i defiantly booked them right then and there and i totally recommend them to anyone! if you are considering them go now b/c soon they arent taking anymore wedding for next year! im soooo happy can you tell....SHAMMA THANKS HUN FOR POSTING!

Kristyn I am so happy to read your post. That is exactly what I said, when you see her work in person it makes so much of a difference. She has an eye for beautiful pix. You will be so happy, I know you already are, as I read it, I feel your joy. I still look at our proofs everyday. Did you book them for video as well. Nelson did our video and he was awesome and unobtrusive. Congrats on one more thing off your list.

I know exactly how you feel! When I booked w/ her, I was the same way ... and no one recommended her, I just found her by accident! We did our engagement pic's in Central Park recently which I posted & she made me feel so much better about the whole process .... I was so nervous about my wedding pix coming out like ***T. Now I can't wait the 5 weeks until our wedding!!!

I have to say that i love the photos on Imagine's website. everything makes me cry these days, but they really made me weepy. they seem perfect to me. I am so new to this and i only have 5 months to plan everything. to be honest, even though they are a little out of our range, i am thinking of booking with them. but i wanted to get all of your thoughts on Imagine's prices. After speaking with Lia it seems like she is worth every penny and you are really getting your money's worth. But for those of you who have looked into other photographers, what do you think? Is she about average? On the high end? (I am sort of looking for an excuse just to go with her and not to spend a whole lot of time shopping around! But FH is just blown away by the costs. I keep telling him that it is going to be expensive no matter who does it! But I am looking for proof.)

Why would you bump to ask if they were expensive? 10K for someone could be peanuts and 2K for another person could be a budget buster, only you know what your budget is. That is why in my previous response I told the above poster to call for an appt. They have basic pkgs and you can also create a pkg to your liking.
Photography was important to me so me placing a dollar value on it, I could not do. Others might see this differently. What is expensive to you may not be to another.
I think it would be a better question to say, my budget is $2K or something along those lines and then ask if they have any pkgs within that price range. I think expensive is a matter of opinion.

I completely agree with you. I already scheduled an appointment with Lia and talked with her for almost half an hour. I just would like to have a sense of comparison when I meet with them. I haven't seen any other pictures and I have not spoken with any other photographers, so I thought I would ask for help in trying to get a comparison. I plan on calling other vendors too, but it is hard for me to know who to call cause I am out of town and calling blind. Any suggestions for photographers to compare to Imagine? (I have to admit though, I really liked Lia when we spoke and I just feel so good about her -- does that sound silly?)

My response was not to say don't ask, it was more to say be more specific. If one wants to know if their prices are comparable to other photographers in this area? I would say most definitely. I just think a question like are they expensive cannot be answered.
I went to see some of the high ends to the low end of the totem pole and I think it is 1) a matter of buget 2) a matter of how important photos are to you

Girls, if you want to know the pricequotes, its easy call or email imagine studios and ask them. They'll email you the price quotes and you can make a decision then if you want to visit them. I would say they're reasonable, neither cheap nor expensive for the type of work that they do.

We've also seen a one other, who had awesome work, and was similar to imagine pricewise, however, I just recently found out that he didn't fulfill a contract with another bride, nor does he have a website, so I wont list his info here.
