I bought a calligraphy book

I bought a calligraphy book

... and I'm teaching myself how to do it so I don't have to pay someone to do my invites.

Place your bets, ladies. I've $5 on the kit going out the window in 10 minutes.

Just think.. if you learn quickly, you could make a fortune off of doing our invitations!!!!

U think it will last that long?

I would toss it after I messed up the 1st letter.

Good luck! I did my own too, and I think they turned out pretty nice in the end. A piece of advice - start out with the people who will be less likely to notice the calligraphy (i.e., I started with FH's drinking buddies), because the first few I did had each letter a different size, haha. Quite a few of the first ones were throwaways.

Make sure the ink doesn't come flying out and spill all over everything!

ok, so... that is all for one day. It's not as easy as I thought it was going to be, but if I practice enough, i think I can get good at it. Although, I better order my invites a little early so that I can get a head start... it took me 20 minutes to write the alphabet!

Where did you get the book. Maybe I should look into this.

Maybe I will make my sister learn how to do it -- she is on maternity leave. It will be a good project for her.
