I bought my favors!!!
Okay I know, as you might have read I bought my favors this past weekend. As backwards as it may sound I'm really glad I did.
From the moment I started thinking about what I might want to give out for a favor FH and I decided that we wanted to try to find a piece of waterford crystal to give out to our guests. We priced a couple of things at a couple of different places and I was starting to realize that it seemed almost impossible because the prices were outrageous. There was no way I could spend upwards of $20 per favor!
Lo and behold I'm here on LIW one afternoon and read about someone who had done what I wanted to do. To make a long story short this fellow bride told me about a sale that happens once a year in Wildwood, NJ called the Waterford Warehouse Sale. That's where she got her favors and suggested I check it out because their prices are amazing.
We made plans to go with my aunt and uncle. FH and I took the day off. The night before my aunt and uncle (who were supposed to be driving) cancelled on us. Yet FH comes to the rescue and says he will make the three hour trip, just the two of us cause he knew how much I wanted to check this thing out - it's times like that night that remind me just how great he really is![]()
In order to keep from making a long story even longer, bottom line is the prices were amazing. Sales ranging from 40-80% off retail prices AND we came home with 80 waterford crystal votive holders/bowls that are beautiful and have hearts on them that match the heart pattern in my dress!!!!!(somethiing I did not tell FH)
I know you girls might think I'm crazy for doing this so soon considering I haven't even booked my major vendors yet but it's one weight off my shoulders cause I don't have to stress about figuring how I'm going to afford what I really want!
Just wanted to let you all know, and for anyone who is into waterford I HIGHLY reccomended going to check it out next year! Fh and I are probably going to go again too and after we came home of course my family jumped on the bandwagon and wished they would have gone! Oh well there's always next year!
p.s. - they were SIGNIFICANTLY lower than any other place we went to fm me for details!
Here's a pic!
