I am sick and tired of having to push my wedding date b/c FH won't do what he has to to make this happen! So i finally told him that the wedding is off.I am not going to keep doing this. I am sorry I wasted ur time girls. But I do thank you for all ur help. So i will be unsubscribing from this site by the end of today.

I'm so sorry to hear about your wedding but at least you know what the RIGHT thing to do before you guys got married. If he isn't helping out now ...things do not change just because you get married or even have kids. Good luck...it's going to be tough but us women are some STRONG creatures...

Im sooo sorry! The same thing happened to me this summer. I called it off too because of the lack of caring/helping from FH- I was looking for apts in December (we live together). It was enough of a reality check for FH to realize how good he had it and he didn't want to let me go without a fight. We put the wedding back on at the beginning of March/ end of February, and he is a changed person. He is so helpful now and I know this is REALLY want he wants. So maybe....your FH just needs a reality check too! I hope everything works out in the end!

I'm so sorry. You cant plan a wedding alone no matter how much you want it. :(

FH and I have been going through a rough patch lately. I told him Im not looking at vendors etc until I'm ready now.

It has to be the right time.

sorry to hear that we all go through rough patches there are times when I feel like i'm the only one making the calls, appointments, keeping track of all that needs to be done and you ask for a few little things and it takes forever for them to get around to it like there attitue is La La La La it will all get done with us it's like No it needs to get done NOW... FWIW Look at this as a blessing in disguise. This heartbreache you are experiencing will open the door to finding the REAL Mr. Right when you are ready for him.

When I was 23 years old, I was engaged and excited about planning a wedding. For reasons I won't get into here, we called off the engagement and I realize it was the best thing to ever happen to me. Guys in general DO NOT like weddings, the idea of marriage, much less being told 'what to do' by their girlfriends/future wives. As it stands now, FH gets cranky when I remind him of things he has to help me with for the wedding (getting me addresses for his friends, BM info, and going for tuxes). But most weddings are planned by women 99% of the time - and if a guy refuses to help out or at least be agreeable to your suggestions, then its a clear sign that he heart is not 100% into getting married...

Like that movie 'Hes Just Not That Into You', the Ben Affleck character was forced to choose between getting married or being alone. If you make it clear to him now that you won't stand for his attitude, he will respect you more and realize what he was missing out on.

Time will tell, guys may take days, weeks or even MONTHS to 'wake up' and get with the program. Until then you gotta stay strong girl!!
