It is so nice. DH and I are looking for a coop - so far we are staying in Queens...but Great Neck is a possibility.

Do you mind if I ask what percent you had to put down as a downpayment? Thanks.

I believe it was 20%, no more than 80% was allowed to be financed by the co-op board. God they were SUCH a pain in the a$$ to deal with!!!!!!

Lots of places we have been looking at have been 25% down - for that amount I could put 10% down on a $600,000 house - I just wouldn't be able to afford the mortgage payments (obviously) and be in foreclosure after a month.
Good luck with the coop. It looks really nice.
