I am sitting here on hold with Private Label-- crying out of control. My dress has been discontinued! They cannot and will not give me any answer as to where or when I will get my dress. They said that they cannot give me that information without Bridal Suites consent. Bridal Suite is not giving me consent. I called Paradise Bridal (extremelly nice and helpful) said that I should have had my dress by now. I cannot deal with this anymore!!! I hate this place and now I am stuck. I cannot afford hundreds of dollars of alterations to go somewhere else.

Thank you sooooo much for the support and advice! I cannot believe this! I thought I was being safe ordering my dress April 6, 2002 for a July 2003 wedding. I am praying that this will be my dress on Thursday and that it will be ok and that there is nothing wrong with it. If Thursday comes and no dress I guess problem solvers will be getting another call from this board!

I'm so sorry to hear that happened! I've read that some brides have gotten a certificate of authenticity with their dress - another thing that may help you to know if its new or not. & this may sound dumb but . . . shouldn't it smell new too? I wish you luck I really hope this works out in your favor!!
Oh yeah & GO MOM!!! Glad she went there & raised some hell!!

It is 4am and I cannot sleep over this!
Maybe it is me but as a human how do you look right into someones eyes day in and day out and lie to them. Everytime Lee (my salesgirl, and the whole reason I bought my dress there) saw me she would hug and kiss me, she cried the first time I was telling her about the problems, lie to me that my dress had never been ordered. I am an IDIOT because I worked in retail for enough years that I should know a sale is a sale and the people don't matter, but I still can't believe this. This is not a pair of jeans. This is a wedding dress! This is the dress that I fell in love with. This is the dress that I ordered my bridesmaids dresses because of. Now I hate it! I was looking at the pictures of me in and you know what I am not even sure I want the dress. It is a source of anger and sadness for me!
I feel like until I see this dress on Thursday or Saturday that I cannot rest because what if the dress is too long? It cannot be hemmed because of the detail on the bottom. What if it is a sample and in pieces?
My FH is upset but is sleeping and just keeps telling me to sleep. That is not me, I can't! I don't know what to do?!?!?!?!?

BS they ordered from an outside source, they probably never ordered it.
Please dont stress sweetie, you have enough time to order another dress.

Go directly to the bridal shop with a few people and demand (LOUDLY - - and go around 7:30 when brides are trying on their dress) that you see the order form with the invoice number on your dress. No excuses. You have every right to see your invoice for your dress. If they can't come up with it, demand you're money back. Did you charge it? Call credit card company and have it disputed.

I can't believe they have lied to you for a year. That is inexcusable and I would demand a refund. I am so sorry that the joy of finding your gown has been made into something so stressful just months before your wedding

Ok your post just inspired me to call Bridal Suite and check on the status of my headpiece - granted, not a dress - I ordered it in November and they said 4 months. Ic alled in February and they said call back in another month. I just called again and they are checking on the status. Lee was my salesgirll too. Long blonde hair Lee?

WHat ever you do, do not get your dress altered there, the women are horrible!! I had alterations done on a BM dress, and it took them 4 times to ge it right, and I had the dress the day before we were leaving for Florida for the wedding. One seamstress started talking to Italian to a lady that spoke english, right in front of me, hello, like I don't know you are tlaking about me. It took them 4 fittings to finally fix the clasp on the back of the skirt that has held on by one stitch!!!! And when I told her it was too long, the seamstress, told me well how much of a hem do you want, like I ma a seamstress, I was like at the level it should be, she proceeded to argue with me that the hem was just fine and that if I walked upright, there would not be a problem, When I was stepping on the dress.
These people are horroble and I don't know how they stay in business!!!

This is so horrible for you. I just want to remind you to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. At least it will go on their file and hopefully save another bride from going through what you are going through. I hope things work out well for you.

OK my mother just called the store and it seems Bea is reading the website because she told my mother that I mentioned Lee's name and that Lee knew nothing about this! That is my point my sales girl knew nothing about whether or not she ordered my dress-- that is a sad business practice?
So are the vendors allowed to read what we post?

You are right -- internet public- duh- may brain is on overload from this whole mess.
This is what she is claiming-- that she is able to get the dress from someone who bought out the surplus when it was discontinued
I can get it authenticated after the wedding-- That is BS! I want that done now.
So my mother says to her-- what would you have done if you could not have gotten the dress. So Bea says to my mother I would have given her anything she wanted. DUH! I want her to do her job and run her business PROPERLY!
My mother says to her, would you want this done to your daughter and she replies absolutely not!
So my mother says to her, you sat infront of us on Saturday and looked us right in the eyes and said everything was fine. You let her look at head pieces knowing the whole time that you NEVER ordered the dress.
Her reply was well I knew it would be in this week.
This woman seriously does not get it. She really thinks that this STRESS alone that she has caused me is no big deal. What about the fact that I have not slept! That I did not go into work because I was so mean to my students yesterday because I was so upset.
Well I think I am going to treat myself to a massage today!
