I emailed my cousin so that she could provide me with the address of one of her friends. This friend is a really nice woman. She comes to alot of our family functions. She automatically assumed she would be coming to the wedding which is ok.
So she emails my cousin back saying- I do not know if my husband can come- but I have to bring my daughter (she is 7). I have been telling her about it.
HELLO- I am having an adult reception (no kids). I just emailed my cousin reminding her of that.
People just do not think!!!!!!

I always think it's obnoxious when people just assume that they can bring their children to a wedding! Weddings are for adults unless stated otherwise! Yes!

My FH's cousins are the same way! They are 26 and 28 and have three kids (ages 5, 2, and 6 months) - the 5 yr old is the FG so obviously she is invited and we found out they're bringing all 3 kids. So, fine I got over that for the wedding - but the RD is much smaller and I don't want them all there! And, the day before the wedding I have things planned for the bridesmaids and I thought of including the FG and her mom but FH said not to b/c 'you know she will bring all the kids with her!'
