I can't believe he just said that

I just showed fh the pic of me with short hair that I did on that website and his reply has actually brought me to tears.

He said, 'Babe, please don't get offended, but in order for a girl to pull off a short haircut she has to be in really good shape, ask any guy and he will tell you the same thing' The thing is he was so serious when he said it that I know he really, truely meant it. I know he wasn't trying to hurt my feelings but that was just so harsh.

We all know I gained a lot of weigt 2 years ago from quitting smoking and it hasn't all come off yet. Fh even propsed to me when I was at my heaviest ever, so I am sooooo shocked that he just said this.

Guys, seriously, my heart hurts right now and I didn't know who else to talk to about this.

GUYS PUT THIER FOOT IN THEIR MOUTH ALL THE TIME

mine is the best..we were play fighting and i tugged on his beard a little and it hurt him..and he said ' how would you like if i pulled on your mustache'

well im italian..and we all know how that goes..i was like a few days over my wax time and i cried for about an hour over it

guys are a$$es..even the ones we marry

i don't think it has anything to do with being in shape really, i just think it's drastic to go from so long to so short. maybe you should go shoulder length at first and see how you like it.

as for what he said, it was pretty harsh, but at least you know he's not going to tell you it looks good when he doesn't feel it does. but i'm so sorry you're hurting so much right now. it's your head you do what you want.

Wow.....I actually think that sometimes short hair that is styled well can flatter a rounder face more than just long hair....I mean maybe not SUPER short, but the length you're talking about (around chin length-shoulder length right?) I think would be fine.....

....try not to feel bad about your FH--sometimes they don't realize how much those things can hurt....I'm sure he will love you no matter what anyway....!

I swear my dumb*** said something similar like 4 years ago...'I don't like that you get comfortable when you gain weight'

Anyway, I never forgot it. Yes, it is going to bother you. And yes it should. I'm sure he meant it in the most loving way possible and obviously he loves you, but that shiiiiit hurts. Please tell him how much it hurt you and please, please, please, please let it go at that.

I really did LOL. Go for it, he deserves a little bit of pain after that comment. You can give him a purple nurple, that is what i do when FH says something that pisses me off

Jess that's not true at all. Don't take it seriously...he's not a hair expert! I loved it on you!

Guys say stupid things and don't know what their talking out. It's about the face shape and it works for you.

I know it's hurtful...just be open and honest with him about how he made you feel.
