I can't believe how excited I am, we started on our new kitchen. Some more pictures added 3/21 The granite is in!!!

I hate our kitchen! Please excuse the mess i the before pictures. Here is how it started:
Another before
and yet another one
First thing we did was take down some cabinets on each side of the sink
then we took down the side counter
then we took out the wall oven and the cabinets above it and below it, plus the glass top and the cabinets under it
then I got to rip down some dry wall, that was fun!
then it was time to rip up some tile!
Boy am I tired!
Can't wait for next weekend when we finish ripping the cabinets, finishing ripping the walls down and start building new ones!

That's Awesome!!! it is coming out soooo beautiful! i'd be soo excited i would even want to sleep on the kitchen floor.. just to be there all of the time
were the cabinets really hard to do? that's one thing i worry about (yeah, not like i have a house, but i like to pre-worry)... i'm good at the demolition part... the other stuff is questionable though

Thanks everyone! Julz, How is it going? Neenie- I wouldn't say hard to do, just have to make sure they are level on every single angle possible. It's a bit time consuming but not too bad. You can do it!

I just posted my pics on my long-a$$ thread. I still haven't decide on what color appliances or countertop. The silver looks nice. That is what Ray wants too. I know I don't want black so it is between silver and white. Did you pick out handles yet? OH and I have a question about your pantry... I am sending you a FM!

We have not picked out any handles yet, I am really thinking of using our old ones because they were a nice brushed nickel and will match the appliances. FM to you again.

Looks like the opening of the wall oven didnt give you any trouble when you had to make it bigger....I love the new appliances... Scott

It took us all day! We took our time making sure that we did not open it too much.

We have not made great progress since the last update. But I did get to a wall today. We did it in venetian plaster. In the pictures its still a little wet. The great news is that tomorrow our new granite counter tops get installed!! WOO HOO! I will def. take some pics when they are done and post them for all to see.
remember, it's splotchy because it is still drying.
