what gets me is the fact that they are trying to get your business (from you and your BMs) by having a chance to showcase their abilities...therefore the trial should in my opinion be discounted or free

ITA, It's absolutely insane! Someone at a bridal show quoted me $200 for a trial, and then persisted on trying to get me to schedule an appointment with her then and there when I was clearly put off by the price.

I found $50 to be standard, after searching, and did it on a day when I had plans that night, so at least I was already all made up

Like are you doing epics or bpics or have any weddings coming up or anything? Do it on that day.
