I have been looking for Burgundy table linens and I though the most they would cost is $30.00 per table. But I am getting quotes of $50.00 per table. Times it by 20 tables and that is a lot. I don't know what to do. I don;t know if I want to spend that kind of money on rented tablecloths.
Any suggestions?

I thought the prices were high too, sooo... I bought 'gentley used' from the rental company. we saved about 40 per tablecloth!

We got them from Watermill Party rentals. They didn't have all of the same color so what we did was get 3 different variations on the color we selected. They are folded and need to be ironed. I know there are some little spots on them but everyone agrees that when the table is set nobody will be able to tell. They people there are great! It is far out east for most people but maybe your vendor may be able to accomodate you? They did not tell me that this was possible (buying them) I found out by asking... It was an 'Aha... Moment' for me!

I will get mine from Jamila from Paragon Designs her prices will be at least 80% less then the quotes you are getting. I am paying 7 dollars for Ivory table cloths that reach to the floor.

i know crazy huh? i'm getting used ones for $35 each and that was considered the best bargain. the ones i liked in silk dupioni were 80-90 each!!! i think it's a worthwhile investment because it adds so much color. but why are they so expensive for rentals??!!

I used Party Rentals Ltd. in Bridgehampton. I don't recall exactly what our linens were (we used ivory) but they people were a pleasure to deal with there.

I had silk dupionis to the floor for my wedding. They were about $80 a linen. I think the price is insane. But I do think it makes a difference. Here is a picture. Don't forget, once you get the table clothes, you also need napkins in a matching color. They were $3 a napkin.
You probably could go to fortunoffs and get them cheaper. However, then you have to do all of the leg work with them (buy them, give them to hall, iron them, get them after wedding etc.).
What about just getting napkins in your color? My hall only had white and ivory linens so I got purple napkins and will have white table clothes and chair covers. The napkins will give the tables a punch and I found them on ebay for 124 for 156 napkins.
