I cant believe my FH..............

We just moved into a new home and lately he is been acting like a little bossy. Yesterday he says to me, 'U should straighten out the bed in the morning, because I dont want to come home to a bed that is not made' I am like what the heck. Girls i thought that this was so funny b/c he knows I am not the housewoman type. And he has never said this to me before. I really didnt say anything to him b/c I thought he is out of his mind. So i thought to myself should i or shouldnt' i do it. I did make the bed this morning before I left but I didnt make his lunch. So if he wants the bed made he will have to sacrifice having his lunch made.

I mean does anyone else have and FH that can be bit demanding around the house sometimes. I guess it makes them feel like 'The Man'

That'll learn em.

Well, for me I always make the bed in the mornings. This is something I was taught to do by mother since I was a child so it is a part of me.
DH will never ever approach me like that whenever he is asking me to do something.IMO your FH can also makes the bed too it does not have to be your job to do it. DH and I shares duites around the house so once something needs to be done either one of us takes care of it. Maybe you should talk to your FH about his approach.

i make the bed because fh doesnt make it the way i like..he messes the pillows up ...

instead i make him straighten out the living room ater we eat or watch tv or drink in there
he will do what i tel lhim to do wioth chores so i never feel like im doing everything

if your fh wants the bed flat- tel lhim to do it him self!

edited so it makes sense~

If DH said this to me: 'U should straighten out the bed in the morning, because I dont want to come home to a bed that is not made,' after telling him off, I'd NEVER make the bed just to pi$$ him off. If they've got two hands and the ability to stand upright, they can make a bed and do all other house hold chores.

unfortunately, I'm the 'demanding one' I've learned that picking up after himself and making the bed is not his thing.

I myself like to get into a neat bed at night, but unfortunately, DH is still asleep when I leave for work, so the bed does not get made.

he made the bed the first two days we were at our new place but now Nothing!!!!

Well its a good thing that he does do things around the house. He does the laundry and cleans the kitchen as well.

I think it depends on who gets up first - who ever is last out of bed should make the bed. But under no circumstance should he demand it, what kind of comment was that? I would have smaked him upside the head if my FH said somet hing like that to me.

Trust me i wont be making a bed everyday. I will do it when i get home if I have time. This morning I had a little time.

FH and I have never lived together, but we have already talked about chores and agreed on what we will do. I HATE to dust and clean the bathroom, so he will do that and he hates cleaning dishes and ironing, so I will do that (we will have a dishwasher, so I think I get the better deal ). We came up with other things too. I'm sure more will come up, but he would never order me...if he did I would definitely not do it! I think if the bed bothers your FH so much, then making it should be his job!

I would think this is a good time to talk about who does what chores around the house. We share the load equally at home, even the boys have chores.

I have to make the bed in the morning!!! If i left it to FH, he would just crawl back into the messy bed!!!!

He does say to me things about the kitchen & what not...But as I tell him, if I don't do it, no one will

Right now he does clean up the kitchen and do the laundry and will vaccuum the living room. Plus he will do all of the outside work like gardening and house fixtures. Oh yeah he will clean the bathroom as well.

we dont live together yet but my FH works midnights. so he once said that it would be nice if i didn't leave the bed a total mess, with my towel on the pillows (i do that a lot), etc. etc. so that when he comes home, he doesn't feel like he is stepping into something messy.

I can understand that.

That said...I hate bossy men!
