so our ex best mans mom send me a message telling me that ex best mans step father cant come with her to the wedding so instead she is bringing her 13 year old daughter! i specifically sent an invite stating 'adult reception only' so i wrote her back stating ' im sorry but 'dddd' cant come to the wedding there is not kids and even though she is 13 the youngest guest i have is 21, and i cant make exceptions, i told family they cant bring their kids. i dont like to be this way but what the f!! she knows its no kids she is really trying to be a pain in the a$$

I am so interested in hearing her response! I think you absolutely did the right thing. Adult Reception means 18 or 21 and above only!

Yea, she should have asked you intstead of telling you. To me, an adult reception means guests old enough to drink. Hopefully it all works out!

OMG I SO understand! We are having an adult reception only and people are ridiculous. We're inviting kids that are teenagers, b/c I think they're old enough, but they're like 16 or 18. I don't think there's anything wrong with inviting adults only or with what you said.
