I can't decide between Timepiece and Times Square Orchestra!! TSO really worked with us on the price and package, but I felt like Timepiece played more modern music. What do you all think??

I've heard great things about both bands, but if you feel one plays more modern music than the other (and that is what you want), then I would go with that one.

i know we talked on the 06 board but...
keep in mind that a showcase is just that...they showcase what they can play.
YOU and only YOU make the final decision of what they play that day. i'll bet both bands have a large amount of modern music for you to choose from, but they want to show you their different styles at the chowcase.
you will pick the playlist for your wedding.
for example, FMIL HATES modern music so we will have little to none of it. so when i meet with marianne before the wedding, i won't choose ANY modern music, while you would mainly choose modern music. we will also have some irish music because she is from ireland, but other people won't.

I don't want to confuse you more, but we just booked our band, Soul Revival (vendor on liweddings) and they are amazing. They play lots of modern music, and the old stuff too, and they worked with us on the price. We booked 7 pieces for $4900, plus they threw in music for our ceremony. Good Luck

TSO played for my wedding - I still have guests who say that they were the best band that they have ever heard at a wedding - people were dancing all night

Thanks girls!! My FH and I decided on TSO and I am so excited!!!!! They were really willing to work with us and we loved the way they sound. It was definately a tough choice...we listened to about 10 DVD's before making any decisions. Now...what's next on my list???

Congrats!!! We are using TSO too!! I can't wait - I LOVE them!
TSO - saw timepiece - I liked them but when they showcased they freaked me out kind of - one guy was dragging himself on the floor and doing back flips or something.
They are talented (especially the lead guy & girl) however, for a band with more brass instruments etc and a well put together sound , TSO!
