But I finally checked out the Not Engaged Yet board ...

OMG! Those girls are AWFUL! It's a group of about 6 terrible, awful human beings (who are either already married or about to get married) jumping all over any poster who is not one of the 6 of them. And they are VICIOUS. A 24-year-old chastized a 22-year-old for being so confident in her decision to want to marry her boyfriend - saying that a 22 year old couldn't possibly make that decision, she couldn't be mature enough. And girls making fun of other girls' typos and spelling mistakes - really?

Ugh, it boggles my mind how people could spend their time tearing apart random internet people for no reason! Plus, you're already married and your biggest priority in life is to hang out on a wedding planning website and make fun of all the girls who aren't engaged yet?

Sorry ... really felt the need to rant on that one!

Has anyone said anything to these girls? I don't understand why people are so mean. I guess the internet gives people the ability to feel powerful. I bet these girls are not all that cool in real life so they need to exert their power over a message board. Sad

Whenever anyone would say anything about how horribly mean they were being, they would just reply and say something about how stupid the girl was or make comments about how she wasn't engaged yet. It was so ridiculous!

For some reason I was unable to link directly ... but if you look at the posts with a lot of comments, you'll find them!

yeah I have wrote this before, but before i came on here I tried going on the knot, I would ask a question and people would curse people out just for asking a question, it was crazy. Then I came on here and everyone was soo sweet and soo helpful.

OMG! i had the same experience!!! When I first got engaged I went on the Knot boards and bascially was either attacked or totally ignored.. they are horrible over there

I hate to say it ladies but that stuff happens here too! Granted they are vicious to one another out in the open but here people were a bit more discreet! Its sad that people will be so awful on a WEBSITE! oh my word!

like no matter what theres going to be drama on a site where all woman are on it lol, but my experiance on the knot was that they would attack you just for asking a question it was as if they were waiting for someone to ask a question just so they can be mean, like you said its just sad

I've heard nothing but negative things about the boards over there...that if you are planning to spend money on anything they attack you...that everything is frivolous, etc.

On a similar note, has anyone seen the message boards at Newsday? OMG, they make me want to run far far away from LI. People are sooooooo mean and jaded, never anything nice to say.

I never went on there b4 either. I signed up but never looked at it. I always hear about how nasty they are and I'm curious to read what they are writing. Maybe one bored day I will make my way over there to ceck it out.
If anythign im sure it makes us all appreciate LIW that much more!
