...so I've been a big fan of David Gray and love his music. I really want to use one of his songs for my 1st dance, but my cousin used it 4 years ago for her 1st dance---the only reason i remember is because i loooove the song so much! FH thinks we should just use it, but I don't want to be a copier---its not a super 'mainstream' wedding song and I don't know what to do!!!
if you love it, use it! guests usually never remember what song people used, and even if they do remember your cousin used it what are thet going to say? go for it

If you love it use it. No one is going to remember it was her song 4 years ago. Most people couldn't tell you what happended at the wedding they went to last weekend. Also, they don't own the song!
I say use it. The only people who will know are you and your cousin. I don't think she will care. Besides, there really aren't that many good first dance songs. We're all bound to choose to same ones!

If you love it, use it............no one will remember but your cousin. I am sure she won't be happy and they will probably gossip about it for a few days..........but tough - they'll get over it!!!
I love that song too...just use it...it's not a copy because it is your song and your wedding not theirs
