and my boss. Talk about a bunch of 2-faced people. All they do ALL DAY LONG is talk about one an other. I'm not like that at ALL. I never talk about people, not in a negative way anyway. One day I'm going to loose it and blow all of their covers !!!! Sorry, just needed to vent. I can't wait to get married so I can get the flick out of here !!!!!

Simba, how many people do you work with? the bigger the office the bigger the drama. I only work w/ 2 and 1/2 other women. The 1/2 is because the other one works part time.

Re: I can't stand my co-workers
I work in a small office, maybe 15-20 people. I've worked in both large and small firms and I don't know which is worse. But I've never, ever been in an environment like this. It's like they all get excited to make fun of or talk bad about one another. It's sickening !!! I know they talk about me because there's this awkward silence whenever I return to the room. I've even said to them, 'I know you're talking about me, so please continue'....

Re: I can't stand my co-workers
Often it is a huge gabfest here and I know WAY too much info about certain co-workers. I think they feel they are including me, but really, I don't want to know that much about some people's lives. Luckily I have my own office, so I can stay away if I want.

Well, sometimes even when I am on the phone AND close the door, they barge in with something that can wait until I am off the phone. It is so annoying! Were you the one that posted about the office birthday cakes?

There was a post a few weeks ago about the office birthday parties and how the poster hated them. I can imagine they are not your favorite part of the job either, huh?

For now, I'm happy it's friday. I'm also counting down till my wedding....hey, I might not even come back. Wouldn't that be funny. Then they'll really have a ball with that one. My ears will be ringing like crazy

I am sure you are the topic of conversation all the time with wedding plans and all. Like, 'Who is getting invited? Why aren't we invited?' and all that jazz.

Was it about the Seinfeld episode where Elaine freaks out over all the cakes? If so, that was me!

Honestly, I keep to myself and don't volenteer any information about my personal life, such as the wedding, unless they ask, and then I keep it brief. Believe me, even if I had room to invite them, I would NEVER. They would probably talk about all the negative things about my wedding, that's when I'll be going postal on them.

Yes! We had a donut incident here earlier and I thought about that again. The donut thing was I caught someone taking old donuts out of the box in the trash - ala George Costanza- EWWW
I am headed home- have a great weekend ladies!

Re: I can't stand my co-workers
I know exactly what you are talking about....I think this is the case in most jobs...especially when you have a bunch of women working together. I am like you....am not negative, nor have any thing negative to say about any one...which is why I stay to myself.....better off being that way. I am at work to do a job..not become best friends with any one. Have my friends outside of work. Don't need two faced people to be my friends. I've learned that over the years!
