First of all, I want to say that I absolutely want to marry my FI!!! There is no doubt whatsoever!!!
I feel so overwhelmed with this whole wedding thing! I'm getting married in less than 2 weeks and there is still so much to do! We need to call the restaurant where our RD is taking place this Friday with a final headcount and still have yet to invite people. We have our 2nd dance lesson tomorrow night and have yet to practice since our first dance lesson. We have seating charts, programs, figuring out how people are getting from hotel to wedding (they don't have cars), and so much more!!! I am so overwhelmed and FI is either working late, playing on his computer, or sleeping. I've been living on chocolate and Excedrin in the last 4 days, so now my stomach is really bothering me. Now, I feel so overwhelmed that I can't stop crying. I asked FI today if he wanted to just cancel the wedding and we could get married during our honeymoon, but he said no. I don't know what to do but sit here and cry. Did anyone go through with this? How did you get through this? I can't plan this wedding anymore and an dying to say the he11 with it and cancel everything!!!

Re: I can't stop crying!
Hugs to you. Take a deep breath. You are getting the jitters which is totally normal. You are almost done. It sounds like you know what to do just have some people help you out. That is what your bridal party is there for.
It will be over before you know it and then you will be wondering where did the time go.
Relax sweetie. The weather is no help either we need some sun!!!! Everything will be ok!!!!

Re: I can't stop crying!
oh julybaby- it will be okay! are your bridesmaids and friends/family around? let them take care of some of these last second things you have to do! have someone invite all the people to the RD and ask them to respond by the next day. if they don't call back, have that same person make those follow up calls.
take care of yourself! try to relax (although i'm sure it will be hard!!)
i went through all of this at the engagement party- some things didn't get done but it didn't matter- people didn't notice and everyone had a great time anyway!

First of all, try not to get overwhelmed and remember that the little details of the wedding do not really matter, it is the point that you are getting married to the man you love and sharing it with your loved ones, nothing should ruin that! Please don't drive yourself crazy; eat right, get plenty of rest. the programs, the rehearsal dinner, the seating chart are little details that are insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Get somebody to help you with the details; your Mom, FMIL, or a sister or good friend if FI is not helping.

Re: I can't stop crying!
Claudia, I hear ya!! I am getting married the day after you and went through the exact same thing last week. I am planning from 300 miles away and ran into so many obstacles that I just broke down and cried for about a week. I felt just like you are feeling now and the best I can say is that it WILL get better, I promise! I honestly didn't think it would myself...I thought I was going to cry straight through to July 6...but somehow, I've started feeling a little better each day (well except for my health but that's another story...). My DF, mom, bridesmaids, and the women on this board have all been so helpful and supportive. And while there's not much I can really delegate at this point, just having the support there does help. So, hang in there!! And FM me if you want to talk more.

Re: I can't stop crying!
You need to just try to relax, I know it's easier said then done. Trust me the couple of weeks heading up to the wedding were very stressful for me also. I think it's normal, all the last minute things that you couldn't do before hand have to get done, like the table charts and placecards to name a few. I ended up taking off from work the week before the wedding just to make it a little easier. We plan such big weddings so of course it might be stressful but just hang in there, remember you said 'Yes' to this man for a reason and in the end when everything is done you'll see it was all worth it

it will be ok....you both are the only ones (well besides us liw girls too!) that know how everything is supposed to be for your day - no one else does..everything will get done in time, you;ll see....and if it doesn't - no-one there will ever be the wiser.....if i can help you do anything, just let me know!!

Re: I can't stop crying!
I know that this is easier said than done but you have to try to relax a little. It is so easy to get yourself sick during this whole planning process but for your own sanity, you have to look into what or who can help alleviate some of your stress (and I don't mean chocolate and excedrin either.) You should really talk to your bridal party, or at least your MOH and let them know that you are really stressed. They should be more than willing to help you out the best way that they can...try to take a moment out for yourself to do something non wedding related...even if its only for an hour...read a book (not the you know what kinds), take a walk, drive to the beach, go to the movies. You deserve it....good luck and I know it will all be wonderful

Re: I can't stop crying!
I am sorry to hear that, Claudia!!! to you!!!
If you have some optional things that you planned to do but still have not done, cancel them (programs is an example of that).. And try to simplify the whole process where you can.. And please eat healthy and give FH some tasks!!!
and lets hope for no rain!!!

Re: I can't stop crying!
Claudia, are you engaged to my fiance? He likes to 'nap' and play on the comp too. !! Since you are feeling so overwhelmed, can you ask him for help? Tell him you really need him right now (in a calm way!) Sometimes you just have to ask for help. It will work out, and it will all be worth it. Take it one thing at a time and deep breaths

Re: I can't stop crying!
I say go tanning. That always makes me feel better, especially when it's this nasty out for so many days. Then, call up your BP and start handing out the duties. Things will work out great, but you have to let go a little and trust someone else to be in charge of what needs to get done!

Take a deep breath..make a list and prioritize what needs to be done. It will all come together. You want to look your best on your day, so eat right, and get rest. Things will get done, just keep calm and complete on thing at a time. ENJOY The planning, don't look at as chores

Re: I can't stop crying!
Julybaby, please don't cry I am getting married in two weeks and I have all the same things that you have to do and I am in MD, to boot. We have time. Just pace yourself. Focus on a few things to do each day, whether that be phone calls about your RD or working out the programs. DELEGATE anything you can to you bridal party, family, friends or FI. I am trying to delegate anything that I can. The important thing is that you are getting married. If programs are making you miserable, don't do them. You don't want to look back on this experience as a miserale time.
Good luck, sweetie, and if you want to commisurate, FM me. We can compare notes on how we are doing with all of our last minute plans. It will all come together in the end.

prncssrachel is SO right! as 'bad' as it is for you, a tanning bed ALWAYS makes me feel better - ESPECIALLY with this crap weather!! it warms you up inside and out, and then you'll feel more relaxed to tackle the tasks at hand. hang in there!!

Re: I can't stop crying!
Hey how bout we set a night for a July 4 weekend brides live chat on LIW?? We all sound like we could use the extra boost of support...And the requirement would be that each of us needs to have a nice glass of wine while we type!

Everything will be ok, just remember why you are marrying him in the first place - that is all that matters
