So, what is the protocol - I am locked in to pay the full amount to the bridal salon? I have put down a 1/2 deposit...
Has this happened to anyone? What did you do?
I can't believe this - - -

Re: I changed my mind about my Dress !!
You could call the salon and see if there is a way to get your deposit back. I believe every store has a policy, but NY state says you have 2 days to change your mind after you put down a deposit. GL!

Maybe they haven't started making the dress and you would be able to find another dress there and use the deposit for the new dress.. I would defiantly call, I'm sure they get it alot, us ladies are very indecisive! lol

Re: I changed my mind about my Dress !!
when did you put a deposit down for the dress? was it recently?
along with a receipt for my dress I also got a contract and this is what it stated: If you want to cancel an order and it hasn't been put into production yet then you can cancel it and use the deposit towards another dress or get your money back. If it has already been sent out for production then you will owe the full balance of the dress.
IT's not word for word bc i dont have the contract in front of me but i remember what it said

I would call NOW and see if its still possible, they might work with you so that you can use the deposit towards another dress

I say the sooner you call the better. They may not have even ordered the dress yet and in that case you may be able to put the deposit towards the new dress you want.

Re: I changed my mind about my Dress !!
UPDATE!
I called (with your encouraging - i should have called a week ago - ) and they hadn't cut it yet. They will hold my deposit and put it towards another dress.
I really love a Marisa gown (611J) that they don't make...so in the end, I might bite the 850 bux, but it is better than 1700 bux.
