I have been living Upstate for a year and a half now and it is very hard to make friends up here. Finally made one and a great one about 7 months ago she is wonderful....
wellllllllllll she came over to tell me this morning she is moving back to Florida because her FIL is really sick.
I have been crying all day!!!!
Really could use some hugs....

We lived upstate when I was 8 years old and my mom said it was not a great place to make friends too. This stinks!! But now you have a friend in FL to visit. Do you work or maybe you could take a hobby class to met some new people.

Thats the toughest part when you move away. It was hard when I moved to Florida years ago, I cant totally relate

maybe there is a newcomers club in your area? or go around introducing yourself to neighbors? join a local club?

HAve you thought of maybe joining something, an exercise class or taking some kind of class? Maybe you will meet some friends that way.
