Are there any volunteer organization that you can be apart of, parent groups, book clubs etc. Civic organization etc. There must be other wonderful women out there who want to be friends with a wonderful woman like you

I understand what you're feeling. I moved to NJ and don't know too many people besides DH's family!

Thanks you all so much!!! I can't believe how much this is upseting me. I have been crying on and off all night and this morning again.

I am going to look into some of your suggestions. The main problems is there are much more Males her then Females....At least that is what I see.

Hope I get over this soon. My friend wants to go to lunch today to say goodbye...I don't think I can sit there I will be bawling!!!

I lived in CT, and then when I moved here I found it really tough to make friends.

Where do you live upstate - I might know people!

I can understand, my husband has had a really difficult time making friends since moving to upstate.

FH and I are meeting with builder in PA this week to discuss possibility of our moving there. It's real handy to the Port Jervis area if that's anywhere near you.

I live about 20 minutes past Binghamton. More in the country part or should I say boonies!!!

I WENT TO COLLEGE IN BINGHAMTON!!!

I still know people up there. REALLY cool people.
