I decided to do a 9 month digital scrapbook!

Since our computer crashed, we lost ALL the pics I took from the beginning of my pregnancy and the only copies I have on them are the ones I uploaded to shutterfly. The images are optimized for web so the resolution wouldn't be high enough to print out and scrap the standard way.

I found a lot of cool sites that teach you how to use Photoshop to make the objects that would be used with paper scrapping (i.e. metal tags, rivets, wax seals and just PAPER) and I have to tell you that this is probably as time consuming as going the paper and scissors route.

That being said, I wanted to share a page with you.
I'm not done yet because I haven't figured out what copy I want written in the blank box. I wish I could share the full size page so you could see some of the details of the objects I created (paper cutouts and wax letters)
...maybe I'll have Jens make it so I can upload the full 800x800 page onto our server.
Here's the resized image though off shutterfly

If anyone has done or is doing this I'd love to see some pics of what you've done.

Wow, that looks awesome. I am also doing a scrapbook the old fashioned way, but haven't started yet.

That is a bummer that you lost all your pics. But that digital scrapbook is a really great idea. I always wish that I was more creative. I have good intentions but I rarely follow them thru! Please continue to share!

Looks great! I want to scrapbook using photos and mementos (like my wedding one) so I'm going to go the traditional route.

For that box on the bottom you can either write something out normally, or use hidden journaling, which I may do with some of my pages. It's just better to do that if you'd rather not have everyone reading the thoughts you've marked down for the day.

Yeah, I want to journal my thoughts but that takes more time than actually laying out the page. I have everything saved so that I can edit and then when I'm done I'll have DH load all the pages into this software that he has that actually turns the pages like a book.
