I beat DH by 15 mins!!!! but it was his first...and I so struggled in the water...that was the longest swim I have ever done...
(other triathlons I have done have been 400m)
I'm glad I got over my slump...last year I was such a slacker and gained so much weight...but I am returning quickly to the weight I should be...
We have massage appoints in 2 hours...I cannot wait...

no pictures...since DH and I both competed...but maybe I'll make him get back in his wet suit and we can put on our swimming caps...lol
michele...I have actually been doing road races forever (since HS)...I (used to) do Cow Harbor 10K, Shelter Island 10K, the LI half-marathon and the Cape Cod Triathlon every year when I lived in NY...but this was my first competition in CA...so I was a little rusty...
results aren't posted yet, but my finishing time was 1:30 (approx) and DH was 1:45...we were too tired to wait for our scores and so hungry so we went for breakfast...but I am hoping they will be on the webpage soon!!
and the massage was awesome...I actually had hot stones used for the first time and the womans touch was so light that I didn't think she was going to help my muscles...but the stones were AWESOME!!!!

I am jealous of your massage. I would love to do a triathalon, its a shame I cannot swim it seem like such a challange and a great workout. That is why I enjoy the boot camp classes at the gym
