I did it!!!.....

I went to Macy's Manhassett today and tried on my dress. I love it just as much today if not more!!! My mom was sohappy, and thebest thing is that it was almost a perfect fit, just a little big. All the consultants were unbelievable nice today and really were very helpful. I was considering going somewhere else for myalterations, but I spoke with them there and they told me that it would be about 250.00 since there is not much that needs to be done (which is 25.00 more than what I was quoted elsewhere). My mom preferred that I just leave my dress there since she felt safer. I did not take pictures in the dress because my mom thinks its bad luck. Sorry!!! I also found my BM dresses there too and they were only $159.00 plus 15% off.

Im so glad to hear about your alterations. I bought my dress there too but had to pick it up this past Nov (Long story)...Anyway, Im really nervouse about bringing it back there for my alterations b/c my dress too is a very close fit and am afraid of being charged out the 'woohoo'.

congrats! i, too, got my dress at macy's in manhasset so i'm glad to hear of your great experience. my dress isn't expected to come in until the summer and hopefully i won't have to pay an arm and a leg for alterations.
