Some of you might remember a week or 2 ago I vented about how I did not like my dress I ordered in August and came in last month.
I tried it on right after Christmas (or right before, it was around then) and I was not happy at all with how it looked on me, plus it didn't even button up in the back. I dont' know if that was their fault or my fault, I think it was either both our faults (I knew I gained some weight) or just mine. So anyway I've been MISERABLE since I tried it on. I wasn't crazy about it when I first ordered it, I don't know what possessed me to order it in the first place.
Well to cut a long story short I went to the Macy's in NYC today. I called them at 10am to see if they had any appts open and the lady said no but to come down anyway and if they were not busy they could help me (but also put me down for Monday a.m. appt since I work in the evening that day). I have to say they were the NICEST people to deal with. I wasn't too thrilled at first by the last of plus sizes in their collection, I think Manhasset has more but this Macy's bridal has only been open for 7 weeks. So I was with FH's two cousins and they said try on a strapless. I was hesitant but I did and you know what? I liked it!! I tried on a 2nd one (with shirring on the waist) and it looked nicer on me at the waist but the bodice was too low and I would be too self conscious about falling out of it all night. But the first strapless I tried on? Very similar in fabric and beading to the one I ordered over the summer (which I liked) yet the bodice has a cuff at the top which I think will help keep my chest in. I cannot post me in my original dress because it's a bitmap image (i will try to convert it) but I will post the model wearing it. And then I'll have the new dress under it.
I can't tell you how happy I am now.
OK here's the original dress. I posted me in it but I don't really like how I look so I am posting the model in the dress.
