I did not know which forum to post this on but how sweet is Georgette from

Georgette's bra store in Hicksville? True story, gals

I went in there today and got there like 5 min to five! the sign on the door says they close at 5pm on saturday and the last fitting is one hour before closing so, I was about to just go back in the car but I desperately needed new bras b/c since pregnancy, Breasfeeding, etc........
anyway, I went up to one of the two ladies in there and one of them happened to be Georgette and told her that I do not have one bra that fits me right, she whipped out her measuring tape and started helping me and I must have tried on a ton that I was getting frustrated myself and ready to just take any old thing and she said, 'no, no, no, I am not giving up yet!' and she kept searching for the perfect bra/bras for me.

SHe was so sweet and helpful and I left around 530 with two bras that are great and I will see which I wind up liking better and go back for a few more. I did go there for my strapless for my wedding too back in 02. ITs nice to see that there are some stores out there that genuinely care and are so helpful! I was so happy she stayed and helped and would not give up even when I was ready to give up

Just thought I would share in case any of the brides or new moms like me have bras that just do not fit right or need one for their wedding. She even was telling me tips on washing bras :) B/c the one I came in with was in not so good condition. YOu know by the number of posts I have and how long I have been around here that I am not some newbie trying to be a faker I'd recommend her if you need anything like that

I love Georgettes!!!

Georgette and Marie are great!! I go there for all my bras (they're the only place that carries my size.)

Would you believe Miriam's Corsetieres sent me to them!?!

I love going there too. That's the only place I go to buy bras. I also go one for my wedding there.

The last time I was at Miriam's was back in 2003 when I was looking for a bra for my wedding. They didn't carry my size and couldn't help me, so they told me to give Georgettes a try. I've been going there ever since!

I don't know if Miriam's is still open or not. The last time I drove by, they were closed. I didn't know if it was for good or if they were on vacation.

I went to Georgette's for a bra for my senior prom years ago and they determined my real size. I love that place.

I had a GREAT experience there with them for my wedding bra too and will go back! Love them, didnt want to leave them , they were so nice, like my little old aunts! Wish I could adopt them into my family!

Hey, his place sounds great! Glad you posted this here. My size is hard to find too, and I want something really supportive for my wedding bra. I will definitely try it. But I live in MD, so I'm not all that familiar with the LI. Where is Hicksville in reference to either Queens or Mineola? Thanks!

Love Georgette's, they really know what they are doing.

When I walked out of there I had a bra that actually fit properly and kept the sista's where they were supposed to be

They sell everything not just maternity and wedding. The bras I got cost the same they would in macys, something like 28 or $29 a bra.

I drive from Forest Hills to Hicksville just to get my bras there - they're WONDERFUL! They helped me with my real size (I used to wear 2 sizes up in the back, 1 size down in the cup ). LOVE THEM!!!

I just went there about 2 weeks ago for my strapless for my dress and I found out I'd been wearing the wrong size bra. I really liked Georgettes and will be going back!!
