I am really upset today, I did not get accepted into Hofstra Law School. I don't know why, I know I had the decent grades to get in, well maybe my LSAT score wasn't so good (150) but I thought they looked at more than that!!! I only applied to Hofstra and St. Johns, but I feel that if Hofstra did not take me, then neither will St. Johns. I didn't really look up that many schools while I was applying and I came across CUNY law school and Touro Law, they seem like good schools and I still have time to apply to both. Cuny's deadline is 3/14 and Touro is 5/1 to be considered priority. I just wanted to know if anyone had graduated from any one of these two schools, their experiences, how these schools rank compared to others in the area. Overall, whether they think the schools are good. I know I am asking for alot, but if anyone has any info, I would deeply appreciate it. Thanks

Re: I didn't get in!!!
Yes, I was really impressed when I looked up their website and saw the opportunities they had in this area. Touro is a relatively young school compared to all the others, but it is making good improvements. I believe I read in one of the Barons Law School Guides that they had an 86% bar exam passing rate but this was in 1997 but I don't know how it is now. They also have interesting clinics and internships. I really didn't research it while I was beginning my application process because I had heard that it wasnt a good school but after doing a little research, I realized that each person has a different opinion

Re: I didn't get in!!!
Not that it is entirely relevant, but I had a friend that got rejected from NYU. (she got a 162 on the LSAT)... it was the only school she applied to b/c it was her dream. She ended up going to Queens (CUNY) and worked her butt off and applied to a multitude of schools as a transfer the next year. She ended up graduating from Columbia Law, with honors and in the top 5.
She is convinced that it happened for a reason.

I'm sorry to hear about what happened. I've heard good things about Touro, though!
