So I had lobster for the first time last night. I just never had a desire before (they are practically related to insects), and truth be told, I wasn't that impressed. What is with all the hoopla about lobster? I am sure it doesn't help that I don't like butter, plus I injured myself on one of the lobsters ( stupid sharp claws - only I could draw blood at a nice dinner out!). Am I the only one that isn't that 'into' lobsters?

I LOVE LOBSTER!!!!!! For those of you how love lobster too, Taras in Port Jefferson on Main St. has Lobster (the whole works) for only $10.00!!!

My and FH went to Mystic connecticult and had a lobster dinner. I hated lobster so much i was making it dance to the little mermaid song.

I don't get the big deal either and I'm a big seafood fan. Give me a bunch of shrimp and I'm happy.
However I will say lobster ravioli is really good!!

YUM!! I LOVE lobster, but I love most seafood. I think I could exist entirely on seafood. DH and I recently had lobster tempura, and that was amazing.

I hate seafood and fish, so I completely understand! I don't like the taste of any of it!!!
I think it's a delicacy to many b/c it's not something that you would commonly have for dinner, esp. if you don't live near sea water.

DH and I both don't like lobster - we keep trying it at ritzy restaurants, and we've yet to enjoy it. It's so bland!

does nothing for me. since growing up, having lobster means its a fancy night...or a special occasion- and since they are not cheap, i definitely, in my mind, associate them with that so its more sentimental.
as far as taste- the tail is good and so are the claws. but, i find them messy to eat and that takes the pleasure out of it. I'm also not a fan of sucking on legs and getting every last bit of meat out of the damn thing.
I'm one of those people that gets 'yelled at' because I left so much meat on my lobster....
so i say - ehh, overrated

I love lobsters.. but not all the time.. we have lobsters for special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, we had it for mother's day this year (ans that was probably the last time I had it)

It's actually a little 'sweeter' than crab.
I really like lobster and it can really taste different depending on how it is prepared. Grilled, boiled, sauted, sauce, cajun style, bisque, etc...

i absolutely LOVE lobster - i think i like the texture of it especially
and dipped in butter is my favorite
FH makes it on the BBQ - you just wrap it in foil and wait for it to turn red. . . AMAZING. . .

overrated. I feel the same way about shrimp, crab. all the shellfish. DH loves it all though!
