I don't get this.....

I don't get this.....

A friend of mine, a very good friend, just called to tell me that he met a wonderful woman and he is excited....sounds good, right? Then he tells me that she lives in Atlanta, but wants to move to LA to be with him, very nice, then he tells me that they've been together for a week, and have only spent one day together....and as if that's not enough....she's married. Does anyone else see something wrong with this? Or am I being judgemental?

Edited to say: Mind you, this is a successful man who makes wise decisions, and I thought he was kidding at first, and he's not. I don't know. Who am I to judge?

Wow... That is a shocker!!!! I guess just be there for him when it does not work. Am I being pessimistic??? That is just a HUGE step.

what comes to my mind is

if she is ready to move to another state (Cross country no less) after knowing him a week and seeing him one time then what is wrong with her?!?!?!?!

Um, he met her in a bar. And I asked him, 'Do you think that she's ready to get into another relationship AND move across the country?' And apparently he says she's ready. It just seems like she is using him from what he told me. I don't know. Weird weird wierd!

This sounds like 'the bachelor'. A girl meets him for a day and wants to move cross country with him. I felt a connection with Dale the first time I met him but to move in with him after a week. noooooooooo wayyyyy. Hopefully he will wake up. Thank God they are not stopping in Vegas....

It's in his hands now. I just thought it was so out of character. I gave him my advice. He's a grown man (is that a contradiction ). Oh well. Just thought it would be an interesting little story to share!

Is she separated? I'd be as surprised and skeptical as you for sure...but...

Our friend went to TX for work for a week. He met a girl. She was married but separated. She was only 23, he was 24. She moved here to live with him, and his family, 1 month later. She finalized her divorce. They married within 5 months of knowing each other. They have been married two years and are expecting a child next month.

They also happen to be very happy. I couldn't believe it when it happened. We were all a little sick to our stomachs when they announced they were married (they eloped).

But, he's happy. What can I say?
