My brother (a smarty pants) figured out the equation for figuring out weight watcher points:
(Total Calories / 50) + (Total Grams of Fat / 9) - (Total Grams of Fiber * 10)/50)

Examples:

250 Calories, 9 Grams of Fat and 4 grams of Fiber. (250 / 50) + (9 / 9) - ((4*10)/50) = approximately 6 points

Once you get the hang of it, its really easy to see something and figure out the points without using the book. I hope I'm not violating any ww copywright...

Does your brother work for the code breaking division of the FBI or something?

When you join WW they give you a way to calcualte how many points something it is, just in case its not listed in the book(s).

Yeah they give you this slide to calculate. Why don't you just join???

I think the meetings are the most helpful thing or you can join online without going to meetings.
