ok, this is the second dress i bought. i know i've wrote about it here before, but i can't get it out of my mind. I DONT LIKE MY NEW DRESS. My fh is going to kill me, and so is fmil. i have to tell them, because it's driving me crazy. What should I say????? I paid 2000.00 for this dress, and i know on bridal gowns 101 it's going for $1000.00. should i just tell him I'll get $1000.00 dress now, so I would not lose any money? I dont know what to do, I am so unhappy. I see all of these beautiful beaded dresses and mine is so plain. ughhhhhhh

honestly,I dont know. I loved it when i tried it on, i cried. Maybe because i havent been able to go back and try it on again because they sold the sample, is why im having second thoughts. I just see everyone elses beautiful dresses with all the bead work, and i wish i had gotten a dress like that, even though i tried some with beads on and didnt like them, i feel i maybe should of looked more. I dont know, maybe because my planning has been put on hold from dec. til the end of this month I just have nothing else wedding to think about????

That is most UNplain dress every.. IT IS AMAZING... I was expecting like plain straight satin dress.. PLease don't doubt your dress it is UNREAL!!!!

Yes, thats another thing. I was looking in nov. for dresses and when i tried this one on, i was told it would take 8 months to come in, so i felt if i wanted it, i had to order it then.

i feel a little badly saying this because i don't want you to feel like i'm poo-pooing your feelings and doubts about the dress. having said that... i think that dress is absolutely FABULOUS!!!! i also think it's normal to have doubts about your dress... i know i certainly have, even though i adored my dress when i tried it on. the time it takes for a dress to come in, combined with having some extra time on your hands, is enough to make anyone re-think the decision.
why not sleep on this for a couple of days, and see if the feelings resolve? if they stick around or get worse, then i might look around some more and sell the dress when it comes in...

gotta agree on this one... crying is the sure sign of 'the one'...
but it's so hard to sustain excitement and love for a dress you tried on for a few minutes, months ago!! especially when there are always new dresses being shown in magazines and being posted on this site. maybe your feelings are just 'cold feet' because of these factors... think about it...
P.S. : a sure way to get googly-eyed over your dress all over again is to post it here! we will 'ooh' and 'ahh' and help you out!!

I absolutely love your dress....I think it's beautiful in itself because of the material, and the gathering - there's so much to it that it doesn't need beading! It is definitely not plain, IMO. BUT, if you hate it because of the beading, maybe you can take it to a seamstress OR have your place add some beading....I know that sounds odd, but it can be done- if you really love the dress except for the non-beading...you can add a few crystals or beadwork in a certain area to make yourself feel better. Either way, good luck!!!! It's really a beautiful dress.

You girls are the BEST! Thank you all so much. I feel a lot better. I am going to see what other salons carry the dress and go try it on. I think that is probably the reason i am doubting myself. Does anyone know of any stores that carry this dress on long island?

I definitely think this is your best bet....find another store that has the dress and try it on again (Maybe you just miss the dress!!) I LOVE that dress and think it's absolutely amazing---but of course, you need to be sure. I think it's just b/c you haven't had it on in a while and now you've seen a lot of other dresses (I am doing the same thing)--but you have to remember that feeling you had when you put it on. Did you take any pics when you tried it on? I go back to my original pics and remember that 'feeling' whenever I think I found a 'better' dress. Then, it all goes away. Just another thought...... Hope you find another store!!! Good luck!!
