New Years Eve and the New Year always scares me. I go out to go out and forget its New years but to think its another weekend. Im scared for 2008, I dont know what it will bring to me Who else dislikes NY?

I **** you not I seriously consider NYE as cursed for me. Someone put a damn curse b/c every New Years for the last 6 or 7 New years, something horrible would happen to the point where the past 2 years I have MADE IT A POINT to either be home or be sleeping by midnight, cause its not fun for me....cant take the pressure of what bad things gonna happen next! LOL I need to see a psychic or something to get this New Years curse off of me!! LOLLOLOLzzz

My boyfriend (at the time, this was many years ago) comes back from the Marines on holiday to tell me he is leaving me to hook up with who turned out to be my current FH's cousin. I s h i t you not. talk about some crazy *** vex. And I did NOT find out about all of this until New Years Eve night. 4 weeks later they elope and move to California, all behind my back. (It didnt work out...they divorced)

The next New years eve, I go to a house party with a good friend of mine where I know literally NO ONE excpet him........11:55pm hits....I lose him in the crowd of people, and I spend midnight walking thru a sea a strangers hugging and kissing each other, looking for my friend which I couldnt find until 20 mintues later. So basically I spend New Years in a strange house, with strange people, looking for my lost friend, with nobody to celebrate midnight with but myself.

The next New Years eve, my now FH starts an argument with me over something so stupid and trivial that I seriously cant even remember what it was..and he does it in FRONT of his mother at his mothers house. This caused me to leave and spend midnight in the car on the way back to MY house, alone.....

Do I need to go on???? LOLOL

OHHHHHH thats horrible!!! Yeah there is a different AIR on NYE that I cant explain. One year my dad went to warm up his car bec we were going to my aunts house and he got mugged, my dad got hurt, stole his wallet, I felt so bad, I will never forget that

One year FH got soooo effin piss drunk that he wanted to drive home and I said F no you will not and he was forcing me to drive and I cant. So I called my friend nearby went to his house and my FH was puking all night

on NYE i spent most of it at an emergency vet hospital.

we went to my ex's families house which we did basically nothing, left soon after midnight and were supposed to meet up with friends and go out...well we get to his house to drop off his mom and his dad somehow hurt his leg, he was making so much noise...i told them to leave the dog alone for a few mins bc ive had this happen to pets in the past and when theyre small it happens but theyre fine...his mom was over dramatic of course so i had to drive around looking for a place to bring the dog...we finally found someplace a bit further, now we left the house as soon as we saw the dog and the whole time the dog sat in the car, well by the time we got out of the car the dog was running around but his mom said we have to make sure he is fine...we sat in the waiting room waiting for a while...by the time we got back to the house it was way too late to meet up with everybody

Oh I know what you mean! i cant explain it but after the 3rd BAD thing happened 3 new years in a row, I was like, theres no way this is JUST a coincidence. It just took all the fun out of it for me...like i felt pressured to do something bc everyone else was but at the same time I was stressed bc Im like Whats gonna happen NOW, you know??!!

I actually really like new years. It can be overrated, but I've had some really good times. 3 years in a row we rented ski houses for the season as a big group and threw nye parties there which were really fun. Last year we went to this big party in the city at the metropolitan pavillion and we're doing the same again this year. Just another fun night out with a bunch of friends, drinking and having a good time...just with nicer clothes on. And we're taking the train so no one has to worry about driving with all the drunks out on the road.

I refuse to be in bars on nye b/c they are too crowded. I'm not a big club person...went through that phase in my late teens/early 20's and it's just not my thing anymore.

I'm actually really looking forward to new year's.
