How much (estimate) do people pay for florists? It seems very expensive, I am just wondering what the norm is? I am sorry to pry...

It really depends on the size of your bridal party, the style of centerpiece you want, the number of tables you have and the type of flowers you want.
I think $1200-$1500 were the lowest prices I was quoted for a wedding with all roses, but if your budget is less than that you may find a a florist willing to work with you depending on what you are looking for.

My BP is not that big: 5 BM's, 3 GM, 2 mom's, 2 dads...simple low centerpieces (about 12 tables)...we are getting married in a garden so all we would need are the bo-k's for the ceremony.

I'm paying $1,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She was recommended to me from a few girls on here. I am getting the full package, any flowers I want etc and Im only paying $1,000!! I'm having about 170 people!
National Floral in Bellmore on Merrick Road - Her name is Anna - they are a vendor here but I didnt care for their website. You should go look at their pics and samples in person.
ETA: I have 17 tables so far, flowergirl, 3 BM, 3 GM & 2 RB, 3 Moms, 1 Grandma, 2 dads, rose petals, flowers for cake etc oh and me :)

I'm using the florist that my hall gets the centerpieces from... So we got a discount, and I'm paying around $1100.

over 2k, the going rate is so flexible, there are many vendors that are less some more. some people are very picky about flowers some arent.

Re: I don't mean to pry, but...
i'm paying around 2500 for 15 cp's, bathroom, mantel in ch room, ceremony room with lighting and tulle, 9bok's, 3 parent, 7men's flowers and 2 more pieces for the mantel in the ceremony room..here's a pic of how the ceremony room will be..i think its a very reasonable price for everything..and i can get any flower but i picked calla lillies..
It's really hard to compare because everyones wedding is so different. We're going with a 'package' just because it coincides with the amount of BM's we're having. We are changing the package a little though because there are some things we dont need and other things we want that arent on it. Good luck and take your time looking around.

That depends on how much you need- I think you would get a better idea by posting the size of your BP and how many CPs you think you will need

I guess the quotes i have gotten so far fall under the average. Why do they make wedding stuff so $$$$?

Re: I don't mean to pry, but...
About $12k I think, but we didn't do centerpieces since the hall provided them.
It all depends on your overall budget- if someone is spending $50k on a wedding then $5k is not a crazy amount. Whereas I had a very small wedding and what I spent on flowers was less than 10% of my whole budget.
