I don't need your freakin' 'compassion' FMIL

I don't need your freakin' 'compassion' FMIL

I know a lot of you are well aware of the severe lack of compassion my FMIL (and FFIL) have shown me with regard to the passing of my mom.

Incident after incident after incident she's shown me that she could care less about my situation.

Now, tomorrow is the 5 year anniversary of my mom's death and FH knows it. So today FMIL leaves me a message about 'how she's thinking of me today' B.S!!!! I don't need her fake sincerity!!!!!!! If she was sincerely concerned about me, she wouldn't have given me all the sh_t that she has.

I know most of you will probably think that she's just trying to be nice but I don't buy it. She is the fakest person ever...cares about nobody but herself.

I should add that this is the FIRST TIME in nine years that she ever bothered to 'care' or take the time to call. She knows me for nine years. And if she really, truly did care I'd think she'd get the date right!!!

Sorry...just had to vent.

Wow...I'm sorry you feel that way to your future mother in law. I'm also sorry of this resentment going back and forth between the two of you....

but in all honesty, when someone takes the time out of their day to call and say they're thinking of you, it is sincere....I'm sure you'd be upset if she didn't do anything to even acknowledge.

Is this the 1st time she has called on the anniversary of ur moms passing, if so I think that maybe fh told her about it. if she did it every year than, its sincere ,but if this is the 1st time, I'd ? It. But don't let it get to u. She is only a small part of your life, just concetrate on the big pitcure-u and fh and the wonderful life that u will have 2gether.
Just like jackie gleason would say on the honeymooners, pins +needles, needles + pins, its a happy man(person) who grins

i agree. Unfortunately, she seems to have done a lot of damage to your relationship before this so you doubt anything that might be a good intention. Hopefully it's a step for her in the right direction for your relationship!

I agree. Just try to remember this is your FMIL..and you will have to deal w/her at some point/time. While I can understand your frustration...times and people change....

I know many people like this, and I feel your frustration in the fact that she called. Yeah, maybe she's trying to change, but I figure FH may have mentioned it in front of someone and she's trying to show 'what a caring and compassionate' person she is. Lady keep the fakeness to yourself and leave this girl alone!

I'm sorry about your situation and that your FMIL is seriously lacking in compassion. Take it for what it is... like you said BS. At least you have an FH who hasn't taken a cue from his mother.
I'll be thinking of you tomorrow! Take it easy
