and it looks kinda silly... My mom saw it and asked what the he L L did you do to your hair.
Does anyone know how to get it lighter without damaging your hair?? I dont want to put another color in....
do i have to go to the salon? I know some of you are hairdressers (Gail-GT143EA) help please?
ETA: I mean I DO want to color it again...sorry guys I am working and not concentrating!!!

I'd say dont do anything yourself... you need to go to a salon for this or your hair might fall out.

i dye mine dark brown and it comes out quick black looking... are you sure its that bad? maybe ppl just arent used to the change!

I did that to my hari once...only it was supposed to be dark brown, but came out blaker then black lol. That is when I decided I would NEVER do it myself! HA. It can get pricey going to the salon, specially if your hair grows fast like mine does...so I have my freind do it. YAY!... Only the last time I went to the salon, she ended up chopping waaay too much ooff! i was sooo mad! good luck!

I dye it normally dark brown...but I switched it up to black. I dunno my mom isnt too fond of it. I guess it might have to grow on me too....

I did the same thing. I liked it.. my mom did not. It got lighter on its own after a few weeks. If its really bad and you dislike it then go to a salon. It will be pricey though.

Hi hun. My fsil helped me shes a hairdresser. I did the same thing...she said to mix baking soda with water, and put the paste through my hair, Leave it in for like 20 min. It lightened mine but basically it wouldnt take theblack out.

Use Prell shampoo. FH thought he could highlight my hair. It was a disaster. So I had to dye it again and then it was all funky looking. Prell helped!

I dyed my hair black as well, but then tried to go lighter within the next 2 weeks and let me tell you. GO TO A SALON, I ended up spending money on the dye and having my roots one color and the rest black. NOT A NICE LOOK. I just went to the salon to fix it. :)
